The Berlin Film Museum, known locally as Museum fur Film und Fernsehen, illuminates the history of film and television. Opened in 1963, the museum explores the world of cinema and film from the first moving images through to digital film. It houses a permanent exhibition on the “History of German Films” which displays many articles of the museum’s collection unpublished vintage photographs and film.

Also, the “History of German Television” details the history of both East and West Germany, making a very intriguing insight. The Berlin Film Museum is a must-see attraction in the city for art and film buffs.
