An expansive adventure park, Xplor Park encompasses just about everything we could imagine wanting to do in Cancun. For starters, there are seven different zipline routes around the park, plus hiking trails that wind throughout the jungle (with plenty of cenotes and caves to poke around in along the way). You’ll have access to river rafting equipment, places to swim, amphibious vehicles, and so much more. There’s also an abundance of wildlife in this area, from exotic birds to lush flora. Looking for something extra special? Try visiting Xplor Park at night.
Extreme Adventure Park
This amazing, sprawling park is, well, pretty extreme. Extreme Adventure Park boasts a wide array of activities and adventures for visitors to enjoy, from snorkeling the Great Mayan Reef to riding an ATV through the jungle. Glide through the air on a zipline. Swim and soak in an authentic Mexican cenote. Experience it all in beautiful Puerto Morelos, a scant fifteen-minute drive from Cancun.
Combining history, archaeology, and good old-fashioned fun into one adventurous bundle, this multi-stage excursion begins in Tulum. A world-famous archaeological dig site, Tulum shows the remains of ancient Maya civilization. Next, you’ll proceed on to Tankah Eco-Adventure Park, where you’ll get to peer around the remains of several ancient Mayan dwellings. Then comes the high adrenaline part—zipline through the jungle, kayak down the river, and soak in a real cenote.
Who doesn’t want to see the vibrant blue ocean off the coast of Mexico from high in the air? This parasailing adventure is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to glide above the coastline of Cancun for some of the most unforgettable minutes of your life. Not only will you enjoy the rush of adrenaline that accompanies the feeling of flight, but you’ll also get to enjoy some of the most incredible views of the city and shoreline below.
Jungle Tour Speedboat Adventure
Everyone loves a good jungle excursion. This Jungle Tour Speedboat Adventure is a prime way to explore the great outdoors near Cancun on a one-of-a-kind adventure. You’ll get to steer the speedboat all on your own, so this self-guided tour is good for those who love to be in control. Enjoy your time zipping around Nichupte Lagoon, a lush natural paradise that feels very wild and uncultivated. It’s a nice change from some of the most curated shoreline experiences, too.
Sign right up for an extreme canopy tour at the delightful Selvatica Park to really amp up the adrenaline. If you’re hoping to maximize your time whizzing through the jungle, this multi-zipline course is a must for you. Zip along ten different circuits that traverse the jungle in different ways. We especially like Tarzania, a half-zip, half-roller coaster ride that combines the most exciting elements of both into one unique experience. Or, the Aqua Zip, which ends with you zipping directly into the water—what a finale!
Explore Riviera Maya to the hilt on this Jungle Maya Native Park Tour. You’ll be whisked from your hotel right to the heart of the jungle, where you can engage in a number of high-energy activities from rappelling down into an underground cave system to snorkeling in a location recommended by National Geographic (what a rare chance!). You’ll also be able to enjoy a bit of ziplining, swimming or soaking in a real Mexican cenote, and more. You even have the option to participate in an authentic Mayan ceremony to honor the heritage of the region.
Ek’ Balam & Cenote Maya Park
Take a combo tour that includes both of these amazing sites for a day that’s both educational and thrilling. Start off with a visit to Ek’ Balam, a city that predated Chichén Itzá’s glory days. It’s a recently restored archaeological site and has a lot to offer curious travelers. Then, head to Cenote Maya Park, where the aquatic adventures begin. Rappel down into the depths of a cavern. Swing into the water from a real-life Tarzan vine. Test your balance on a slacklining set-up. Splash and play in the authentic cenote as much as you’d like. It’s all rolled into one fun day on this tour!
