Ted Stimpson, Chief Executive Officer

Ted is responsible for setting overall strategy and coordinating the resources necessary to execute it successfully. He has over a decade of experience scaling existing organizations.

He most recently served as CEO of Imagitas for 6 years where he delivered double digit topline growth and significant margin expansion (EBITDA grew 75%). During his tenure at Imagitas, Ted also developed the nation’s leading consumer-facing internet property servicing the moving life stage (

For 3 years prior to becoming CEO, Ted held various Sales leadership positions (including SVP of Sales) and grew revenue by $40 million.

Ted earned a BA from Harvard University and an MBA from The Wharton School.

He currently serves on the Board of Trustees for The Noble and Greenough School and is a member of YPO New England. Ted lives in Weston with his wife and three children.

Matt Higgins, Chief Technology Officer

Matt oversees all aspects of the Smart Destinations technology network across North America, enabling attraction partners and consumers to benefit from the company’s smart card platform.

Matt also is responsible for the technical infrastructure behind Smart Destinations Web presence. He has more than 10 years experience working at a range of technology-oriented startups such as, Performaworks (purchased by Workscape) and BlueSocket.

Matt was also an early practitioner in the Software as a Service (SaaS) field working across industries with multiple Fortune 500 companies. Matt holds a MS in Computer Science from Northeastern University.

Rob Cartwright, Chief Financial Officer

In his role as CFO, Rob is responsible for the financial, legal and administration functions at Smart Destinations.

Rob has over 14 years experience working in financial roles at companies including (acquired by Infospace), Hyperknowledge, and Cahners Business Information.

Rob holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Providence College and an MBA in Finance from Bentley College.

Carrie Tayloe, Vice President of Product Development

If you’ve enjoyed a California Go City Card or Explorer Pass over the past decade, chances are that Carrie Tayloe had a hand in bringing that destination experience to life. Today, as part of the company’s executive team, Carrie directs product growth and strategic partnerships across Smart Destinations’ eleven U.S. markets, representing over 400 attractions visited annually by more than 1.7 million customers.

A lifelong traveler, Carrie’s early career spanned management and industry roles with Get Travel Group, LLC / Adventures America, and STS Travel Group. Her professional activities include six years of service as a member of the Travel and Tourism Marketing Association’s board of directors, including a one-year vice president appointment. Carrie is a graduate of Virginia Tech, where she studied communications and political science. She also studied international marketing at Groupe Ecole supérieure de Commerce in Dijon, France.

Lori Timony

Lori Timony, Vice President of Channel Sales and Strategic Accounts

Lori Timony was one of the first to join the Smart Destinations team. She has been involved in multiple facets of the organization, including product development, marketing, sales, strategy, and more. Today, as part of the management team, Lori oversees all aspects of channel sales and is responsible for developing and managing strategic accounts representing more than 25% of the company’s overall revenue.

With over 20 years of experience, Lori’s early career includes various management and marketing roles within the travel industry. At Saga Holidays, Lori managed a team of 100 Tour Directors throughout the US before she assumed the role of Operations Manager and then Product Manager, creating tour product and engaging in contract negotiation for domestic and international products. She then held the title of Product Buyer and Marketing Specialist for Caribbean and Central America markets at TNT Vacations.

Lori studied at UMass Amherst where she earned a B.S. in Psychology and is a graduate of the International Tour Management Institute in San Francisco.

Lindsay Maher, Vice President of Operations

Lindsay Maher, Vice President of Operations

Lindsay joined the team in 2008 and currently oversees all aspects of day-to-day field operations for the company. She is responsible for supporting sales growth and product development in the company’s 11 markets and plays a key role in planning and executing Smart Destinations’ new market expansion initiatives and digital and mobile product migration objectives.

With over 10 years of experience, Lindsay’s early career includes various operational and management roles. At the American Cancer Society, she was responsible for managing donor recruitment and relations for over 800 companies and constituents, large-scale fundraising event logistics, website management, and staff training, collectively raising over one million dollars in net donations and sponsorship during her tenure.

Lindsay studied at Saint Anselm College where she earned a B.A. in Business and Sociology.
