San Diego

A more temperature climate this time of year, San Diego is a top contender for the best vacation spots in June. There’s so much to see and do on your vacation that you’ll probably be calling your boss for more time off.

For those with kids in tow, SeaWorld San Diego is a smart option. It combines exciting rides with important educational exhibits about their conservation efforts, making for one great destination.

There are also a number of relaxing cruises and high-energy speedboat tours that we’re sure you’ll enjoy, especially if watersports are high on your list. Explore La Jolla for some particularly nice weather: there, you can rent a bike, a kayak, or some snorkeling gear to fully appreciate the beautiful weather.

We won’t argue that Chicago is often considered a cold city – especially in the winter – but in June it’s definitely among our hot destinations. Have a picnic in Millennium Park, stroll around Navy Pier, and enjoy a game at Wrigley Field.

Learn about the city’s renowned architectural and design heritage with a seventy-five-minute architecture river cruise. There are also lake tours – some with themes and others classed as pure sightseeing excursions – and historic vessels to climb aboard.

Take a break from the heat with a visit to one of the world’s best art museums – the Art Institute of Chicago. They boast collections from all across history and around the globe, with particular strengths in European painting, sculpture, and American contemporary art.

Average High Temperature in Chicago: 77 F / 25 C

San Antonio

While you may be thinking than San Antonio is definitely hot this time of year, it’s the kind of weather that true summer lovers embrace – with loads of sunscreen slathered on, that is. Stay cool with an afternoon spent at Spashtown San Antonio.

Explore someplace historic with a visit to the LBJ Ranch Tour, which also includes an excursion into the lovely Texas Hill Country. Many find this presidential experience to be both informative and enjoyable.

Meet some of the world’s most amazing animals at the San Antonio Zoo, scope out astonishing natural artifacts at the Witte Museum, and soak up the inspiration at the San Antonio Museum of Art.

New York City

Everybody should visit NYC sometime in his or her life, and it’s one of the best June vacations in our book. The weather is finally nice, and you can take advantage of the warmer temps with a leisurely sightseeing cruise or open-top bus tour.

Stay outside and enjoy the heat with a bike tour through Central Park, or rent a bike for the entire day and pedal about on your own itinerary. Central Park is filled with acres upon acres of charming attractions – like the Imagine mosaic and the Shakespeare Garden – as well as miles of bike paths.

If this weather is a bit too warm for you, however, and you need a break in some air-conditioning, then pop into the Met Fifth Avenue or the American Museum of Natural History to enjoy some of the world’s best collections of art and artifacts.

Average High Temperature in New York City: 80 F / 27 C

Traveling with the kids? Theme parks are among our favorite things to do in Shanghai. Check out Happy Valley Shanghai Theme Park for top rides and exhilarating attractions.

If you’re looking to really enjoy the warm temperatures with a pleasant stroll outside, Yu Garden is a smart choice, too. It’s filled with serene plants, rocks, and other historic Chinese décor and architecture.

Finally, make everybody happy with a visit to the Shanghai Zoo. After all, it would be a shame to visit China without seeing the world-famous Giant Pandas!

We adore Boston as a June vacation destination. The temperatures are just perfect, and the city is filled with energy. Take a long walk through Boston Common and the Public Gardens before hopping aboard a train to Fenway Park. Take in a Red Sox game, or just tour the ballpark.

Animal lovers will especially enjoy the New England Aquarium’s legendary Whale Watch, which brings visitors out to Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary for an extended whale-watching session. Don’t miss the Franklin Park Zoo, either, with its delightful collection of exotic critters.

For those looking to really maximize their time on the water, top Boston attractions also include an extended river cruise, a USS Constitution Cruise, or – if you’re willing to head out of town – a Cape Cod Canal Cruise.

Average High Temperature in Boston: 77 F / 25 C
