  • How does the Go Chicago card work?

    There are three pass types to choose from - All-Inclusive, Explorer, and Build Your Own. The All-Inclusive pass offers unlimited entry to Go Chicago attractions for a select number of days and includes the Shedd Aquarium. The Explorer pass lets you choose a select number of attractions to visit within 30 days. With the Build Your Own pass you can create your own attraction pass to use within 30 days.

    Once you've chosen your pass type and purchased, it's ready to use. Simply download your pass to the free Go City app and you can start exploring the city and making huge savings. There's no need to choose your attractions before you buy with the Explorer and All-Inclusive pass. You can pick and choose as you go - just be sure to check the attraction page to see if you need to make a reservation before.

  • What are the different Go Chicago pass types?

    We offer an All-Inclusive pass (which is the only one with access to the Shedd Aquarium), an Explorer pass, and a Build Your Own pass.

  • What does the Chicago card include?

    Go Chicago cards include admission to Chicago's best things to do for a set number of days or a fixed number of attractions. You'll also get skip-the-line access to select attractions with your pass and special pass offers too. These may include early-bird entry, gift shop discounts, dining offers, and much more.

  • What are the benefits of the Go Chicago card?

    The Go Chicago pass benefits are huge. You'll not only save up to 55% on attraction admission, you'll also be able to skip-the-line or receive priority entry at select attractions. All your entry tickets will be on one easy-to-download pass, making organizing your trip extra convenient.

  • Does the Go Chicago card include public transport?

    The Chicago pass does not include public transport. But some attractions do take you around the city to popular attractions, like the Hop-On Hop-Off Big Bus Chicago 1-Day Tour.

  • What is the age range for child Go Chicago passes?

    Child passes are for ages 3 to 12. Adult passes are for ages 12+.

  • Does the Go Chicago pass include Shedd Aquarium?

    Yes, Shedd Aquarium is included exclusively on  1, 2, 3 and 5-day All-Inclusive passes. With the All-Inclusive pass you will receive priority entry, and able to go straight to the will call door and to enter. It is not included on Explorer pass or Build Your Own pass.

All-Inclusive Pass

  • How does the All-Inclusive pass work?

    The All-Inclusive pass is perfect for sightseers who are only going to be in the city for a short time and want to see as much as they can. It is the only pass of the three that includes the Shedd Aquarium and it has its own line up of attractions which you can view here.

    With this pass, you can choose the number of days you want to sightsee, with 1, 2, 3, or 5 days available. You'll have unlimited access to all the All-Inclusive attractions for the duration of your pass. Once activated, your pass will be valid for the number of consecutive calendar days (not 24-hour periods) indicated on your pass. For example, if you have a three-day pass and you visit your first attraction on Monday afternoon, your pass will be valid for the remainder of that Monday and the following two calendar days (Tuesday and Wednesday). We suggest starting early on your first day to maximize the number of attractions you can visit with your pass. Don't forget to check the opening times of each attraction you plan to visit too so you don't miss out on anything.

    The more you see, the more you save - with the All-Inclusive pass, you can save up to 55% on attraction ticket prices.

    Want to visit an attraction again? You can. With an All-Inclusive pass, you can visit each attraction once per day for the duration of your pass.

This allows you to change your mind and wait and see what you feel like at the moment.

  • Do I need to make reservations to enter attractions?

    Most attractions will let you scan your pass and go straight in, but a few will require reservations beforehand. Please check the individual attraction pages to see whether you'll need to make a reservation.

  • How long is my Go Chicago All-Inclusive pass valid for?

    Once you activate your pass, it will be valid for the number of the consecutive calendar days you purchased. For example, if you have a three-day pass and activate it on the first day of your vacation, you'll then have 2 consecutive days to use the remaining two days of your pass. We suggest starting early on each day to maximize the number of attractions you can visit. 

    You have one year from the date of purchase to begin using your pass. After one year, it will expire. Our Risk-Free Guarantee gives you 30 days from your purchase date to return any non-activated passes for a full refund.

Explorer Pass

  • How does the Explorer pass work?

    The Explorer pass is perfect for sightseers who are visiting a city for longer and want to take their time seeing the sights without much of a time constraint.

    With the Explorer pass, you can choose the number of Explorer attractions you're interested in seeing, either 3, 4, or 5. Once you've activated your pass by visiting an attraction, you'll then have up to 30 days to visit the rest. There's no need to choose which attractions you'd like to see before you purchase the card, you can pick and choose any of the Explorer attractions as you go. This means you can change your mind and wait and see what you feel like in the moment.

  • What attractions are included on the Go Chicago Explorer pass?

For example, if you purchase a Build Your Own pass with four attractions and visit your first attraction on May 1st, you'll have until May 29th to visit the remaining three attractions.

    Each Build Your Own pass is unique, which means prices vary depending on which attractions are added to your pass. With the Go Chicago Build Your Own pass, you'll save 20% on attraction admission prices when you select two or three, and 25% if you choose four or more.   • Who do I contact if I have trouble purchasing?

  • Do you ship Go Chicago passes abroad?

    You'll receive everything digitally for your own convenience, so you can purchase a pass from anywhere in the world. This also gives you the option to purchase passes before your trip or while you're away.

  • Can I upgrade my pass after purchase?

    Unfortunately, we don't have an option to upgrade passes currently. Check out our pass comparison page to see which pass is best for you, whether you're flexible with your travel plans or on a strict time schedule.

  • Do you offer group discounts?

    Yes, we do. If you are traveling with a group of 10 or more, you may be eligible for a group discount. Please contact [email protected] or fill out our Group Travel form to learn more about special rates.

Digital Pass

  • How does the Go City App work?

    The Go City app is free and available for both Apple and Android devices. Download directly to your smartphone and show your pass at each attraction to be scanned for admission. The app includes your pass(es), Go Boston pass guidebook, itineraries, and more.

  • How will I receive my Go Chicago pass?

    You'll receive the Go Chicago pass digitally via email after you've purchased. You'll then have the option to print off your pass(es) at home or download them onto the free Go City app and use them straight from your phone.

  • How can I look up my order if I lost my email confirmation?

    Visit our Order Lookup page to access your Go Chicago passes or to email customer support if you don't have your order number or email on-hand.

  • Can I use my confirmation email to enter attractions?

    Your confirmation email will contain instructions on how to download your pass and start scanning it for admission. You can also print your passes from your confirmation email if you'd prefer a ticket to hand in.

Using the Go Chicago pass

  • How do I use my Go Chicago card?

    Once you have your pass, it's ready to use. All you have to do is turn up at your chosen attraction and get your pass scanned for admission. Please check individual attractions for reservation details, in case you need to book beforehand.

  • How do I activate my Go Chicago pass?

    Easy: simply visit your first attraction to activate your Go Chicago pass.

  • How long does a Go Chicago card last?

    If you have an All-Inclusive pass, it will be valid for the number of days you purchase. Visiting your first attraction will activate your pass and count as your first calendar day. If you have an Explorer pass, it will be valid 30 days from first use, so you'll have more time to visit your attractions. A Build Your Own pass will also give you 30 days to visit your attractions.

  • Can other people use my Chicago pass?

    No. Once a pass is activated (by using it at an attraction), it can only be used by that individual. Passes cannot be re-sold or used by more than one person.

  • Do I need to make reservations to enter attractions?

    Most attractions will let you scan your pass and go straight in, but a few will require reservations beforehand. Please check the individual attraction pages to see whether you'll need to make a reservation.

  • Can I visit the same attraction more than once?

    If you have a Go Chicago All-Inclusive pass, you can visit each attraction once per day for the duration of your pass. So, if you want to visit the Shedd Aquarium for every day of your trip - you can. If you have an Explorer or Build Your Own pass, you'll be able to visit your selected attractions once.

  • Can I skip the line with a Go Chicago pass?

    You'll get skip-the-ticket-line access to select attractions with your Go Chicago pass. Each attraction will specify whether this exclusive privilege is included with admission. Look out for other special offers and discounts included with your pass too.
