Closings & Holidays

Thanksgiving Day and Christmas Day. On rare occasions this attraction closes early due to private functions. Hours vary during certain times of the year, so visit adlerplanetarium.org prior to your visit for the most up-to-date information.

Know before you go

Getting In: To skip the ticket line, enter Adler Planetarium at the South Entrance and Simply show your Go Chicago pass to gain admission. Staff will provide you with tickets to the museum and help you select your sky shows.

Please Note: Your Anytime All-Access admission includes all exhibits, the Atwood Sphere Experience and your choice of unlimited shows, Atwood Sphere Experience including Imagine the Moon the Adler's newest sky show. The Community Design Lab and Atwood Sphere will be closed between August 19-November 21, 2019, as the surrounding space will be under construction for a new exhibition. We apologize for the inconvenience, but look forward to sharing a new experience with you coming fall 2019.
