Christ Church Cathedral, a Medieval church founded in the early 11th century by the first Bishop of Dublin, makes it Dublin’s oldest building and considered one of the city’s most important landmarks. See the huge Gothic nave, stunning stained glass windows and go down into the crypt to discover the city’s treasures and old religious relics.

Day 2 - Mid-morning
If the kids love animals, there’s no better place to start the day than to visit the Asian Forests, African Savannah and Petting Farm at Dublin Zoo. Stop off at the daily live feedings and learn about the 400 animals in their exotic habitats and how you can help make a difference around the world. Dublin Zoo is a great attraction for all the family!
Day 2 - Midday
Climb aboard Jeanie Johnston and learn about the Famine era and life on deck this iconic tallship. Take a guided tour and discover another side to Dublin’s multi-faceted past, the poverty-stricken Irish emigrants and the sailing industry of the 19th century. You’ll be amazed at how this life-size replica takes you back in time, like a spitting image of the original that sailed in the mid-1800s.
EPIC: THE IRISH EMIGRATION MUSEUM
Just next to the Jeanie Johnston, situated in the historic 200-year old Custom House Quay Building is EPIC: The Irish Emigration Museum where you can learn about Irish culture and people with an interactive experience. Step through 20 themed galleries to find out why people left Ireland, how they influenced the communities they relocated to and experience the connection between their descendants and Ireland today.
Day 2 - Afternoon
The Guinness Storehouse is a must for anyone visiting Dublin. Voted Europe’s top tourist attraction, it promises seven storeys of interactive exhibitions and experiences, live music, and even two bars where you can learn to pour the perfect pint. Join in on a free guided tour and be taken through the huge storehouse from the ground floor mills, right to the top finishing off at the panoramic Gravity Bar at the end.
Day 3 - Morning
Just north of Dublin, visit Malahide Castle, a stunning 12th-century castle once home to the Talbot family and learn about the role it played in Irish history. Its grand rooms are full of period furniture and priceless portraits and artefacts, including rococo features and neoclassical décor throughout. Outside you can enjoy 4 acres of beautiful grounds, manicured lawns and a walled garden.
Day 3 - Midday
Dubbed the ‘People’s Museum’, the Little Museum of Dublin is one of the most interesting museums in Dublin to learn about the social culture and history of the capital. The exhibits are all donations from the people of Dublin and feature artefacts, collectables and objects from the 1900s-2000s. Admire items dating back to the Irish Rising, to a bingo card from the Butchers’ Social Union – it’s definitely one of the quirkier Dublin museums!

GPO WITNESS HISTORY EXHIBITION
Dublin’s General Post Office is one of Dublin’s key historic attractions and is hot topic among the Easter Rising centenary this year. Enjoy free entry to the fascinating GPO Witness History exhibition with the Dublin Pass and learn about the landmark’s role as headquarters of those who took part in the Easter Rising of April 1916 and in establishing Ireland as an independent state.
