We're on a mission to make Go City famous and recognised by every traveller around the world. We want to make Go City and our passes a ubiquitous, "go-to" product every time someone embarks on a sightseeing adventure. To achieve this goal, the business is looking for an experienced VP of PR & Communications to craft then amplify our brand message and story to a global audience.

What will we expect from you?

This exciting new role will be responsible for the following:

  • Developing the communications strategy for the business working closely with SLT and our brand team to define this. Shaping the thinking around how we articulate the Go City proposition and develop an industry leading voice in the travel / tourism sectors.
  • Devising creative ideas to get the attention of the media and consumers, through both campaign-led work and jumping on topical news stories.
  • Building a media plan that amplifies our message and gains high volume coverage across traditional and online media. Deciding and implementing the optimal way to execute this via external agencies and / or in-house resource.
  • Working closely with our CEO and COO to develop their profiles in the industry, supporting them with interviews and speaking engagements.
  • Partnering with our social media team, to increase our influencer, blogger, vlogger outreach and coverage.
  • Running Go City's presence at industry events as well as our awards submission programs.

What will you have/Who are you?

  • C. 8+ years experience in a PR / Communications role, working on a consumer brand (travel industry background preferred).
  • Great storyteller able to create a compelling brand story that attracts attention from media and customers.
  • Agile and nimble operator who can spot opportunities and move quickly on them.
  • A confident, relationship builder both in working with external media and partners, but also with internal cross-functional teams ensuring you get support needed to deliver a PR strategy.
  • Strong character in building and selling a PR / Communications vision across the organisation, even leading SLT debates on it.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit to build a function at the business that doesn't currently exist and develop it over time to become one of our strongest assets.
