About this experience
Antwerp’s narrow cobbled streets are well worth a visit, even (and perhaps especially) if all you want to do there is spend a few hours people-watching over hot chocolate and Belgian waffles at a sidewalk café.
But there’s so much more to see and do in Belgium’s biggest city, and this day trip from Amsterdam is the perfect way to do it. Board your luxury coach in Amsterdam first thing in morning and you’ll even be there in time to do a spot of sightseeing before lunch.
Visit one of Antwerp’s fine museums: check out paintings from mediaeval masters and beyond at the Royal Museum of Fine Arts, and hit up Chocolate Nation, the world’s biggest museum dedicated to Belgian chocolate. We know what you’re thinking and yes, tastings are available here, too!
Go shopping along the Meir, Belgium’s premier shopping street, lined with big-name brands, cool boutiques and cafés, and overlooked by charming Rococo and Art Deco buildings. Or window-shop the famous diamond district to ogle the sensational sparklers for which Antwerp is so rightly renowned.
