From legendary space launches to up-close gator encounters and hands-on challenges for curious minds, Orlando is so much more than just its famous theme parks. Locals rave about the crispy stuffed potatoes and friendly, quirky decor.  Afternoon: WonderWorks and SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium  Once you’ve fueled up, it’s time to hit International Drive—the pulsing heart of Orlando leisure and dining.  Stop 1: WonderWorks  You can’t miss WonderWorks—literally, the upside-down building lets you know you’re in for something different. Jump off the I-Ride Trolley or Lynx bus (International Drive and Austrian Court stop), and head inside for hours of interactive fun. This “edu-tainment” wonderland blends mind-boggling science with hands-on experiments, laser tag and a ropes course overhead. Kids and adults get to compete, challenge themselves and sometimes just stand back and say, “Whoa.”  If you fancy a power-nap, try the Hurricane Shack experience or the virtual roller coasters. You’ll leave feeling like you worked out both brain and body!  Afternoon Pick-Me-Up  By now, a little sugar boost is probably required. Good news: The Sugar Factory at ICON Park is only a five-minute stroll from the aquarium. The backdrop is dazzling (think candy-themed chandeliers and rainbow décor), but the Milkshake Bar steals the show. Try a Cookie Monster milkshake or order the “Insane” Milkshake—topped with a stack of decadent treats. If you’re after something lighter, the sorbet is just as fun.  Now you’re ready for eye-popping views...  Late Afternoon: Sky-High Views on The Orlando Eye  Time to rise above it all at The Orlando Eye. This 400-foot-tall observation wheel offers the kind of panoramic city views that sum up every epic Orlando adventure. Step into your capsule and you’ll drift up, taking in theme parks, lakes and, on clear days, even the distant launches of Cape Canaveral.  The ride is peaceful, air-conditioned and rotates slowly enough for perfect Instagram snaps—this is the Orlando cityscape in all its glory, with the orange glow of sunset if you time it right.  Tip: Try scheduling your ride for late afternoon or early evening when the city lights start to flicker on.  Evening Entertainment: The Outta Control Magic Dinner Show  Cap your Orlando adventure with laughter and genuinely jaw-dropping illusions at The Outta Control Magic Dinner Show, right next door to WonderWorks.
