The complex offers everything from walk-up snack foods and ice cream to 5-star dining experiences. Here are just a few of the choices you'll discover in this amazing part of Orlando.

  • Del Frisco's Double Eagle Steakhouse - don't bother looking anywhere else for a succulent steak on the I-Drive! Their menu will make your mouth water with its options of steaks, chicken, seafood, and more, and an award-winning wine list to boot.

  • Sugar Factory - famous for its gigantic, sugary drinks, this restaurant does it all. Enjoy cocktails, mocktails, delicious meals, and more at this full-service establishment.

  • Uncle Julio's Mexican Restaurant – Enjoy the best fajitas and margaritas in town. This restaurant provides the ultimate Mexican dining experience for the whole family.

  • Shake Shack – One of the best burger chains on the East Coast, Shake Shack is an easy and delicious meal to stop in for during your day of activities.

  • Food Court - no need to stop in for a full-service meal, check out the food court for tons more options.

Tips for visiting ICON 360 Orlando

  • Park at the ICON 360 Orlando Complex - If you are not staying at one of the local resorts or hotels, the best option for parking is near the ICON 360 Orlando Complex. There's plenty of surface parking and a multi-level parking garage and both are free and within walking distance of many attractions.

  • Wear comfortable shoes - To best experience ICON 360 Orlando and its attractions, be prepared for plenty of walking. You will be well-served to wear thick socks and comfortable shoes.

  • Remember, this is Florida weather - Don't be discouraged by forecasts of 60% rain or higher. Especially in the summer, rains can occur as brief showers in the afternoon, leaving the rest of the day sunny. Make sure everyone has a lightweight poncho.

  • Consider using the International Drive Trolley System - International Drive has a convenient trolley system. Stops are clearly marked up and down the strip and the next trolley is never too far away. Tip: make sure you remember your initial stop number so you can return where you started.

  • Make a plan - Determine your “must-see” attractions and “must-dine” restaurants. Make sure everyone has input. Divide the number of attractions you want to see by the amount of time you have to create an enjoyable, less stressful vacation experience.

  • Bring the sunscreen and a hat! - The Central Florida sunshine means that you will want to keep exposed skin protected.

  • Choose a souvenir strategy. Virtually every attraction has its own gift shop. Do you want a small item from each stop? Where do you get something for everyone in the family? Perhaps you create an overall budget per person. Having a souvenir strategy in place before you head out can help keep you within budget.

  • Enjoy a meal at one of the many outside dining options. Many of ICON 360's restaurants offer alfresco dining.

  • Enjoy a diverse shopping experience. The International Drive area is home to some of Orlando's most popular shopping destinations. The Mall at Millennia is only a short drive from the attractions and features brand-name stores. Orlando International Premium Outlets and Artegon Marketplace are both at the very north end of the street.

Where is International Drive?

For those unfamiliar with International Drive, it travels roughly parallel to Interstate 4 south of Orlando. I-4 is the main north-south artery through Orlando and many of the attractions of ICON 360 Orlando can be seen while traveling on this part of I-4.

International Drive is a major Orlando thoroughfare that is used by residents, ICON 360 Orlando employees, convention goers, and vacationers.

Best times to visit

International Drive Orlando

In-season, International Drive traffic, especially north of Sand Lake Road can get congested. Adding to this congestion is the fact that there is so much to see along the way. If possible, visit in the off-season months of January, February, September, October and November.

You'll also want to start your day early to make the most of it. Many attractions don't start seeing big crowds until after lunch, so the earlier you can visit, the less time you will likely spend in lines. Make sure you spend at least part of your time there in the evening. The lights of the various attractions create a completely different atmosphere.

If you are looking for nightlife, the restaurants and clubs just north of the convention center have a pulse of their own. Visiting during the summer months can be warm, but it doesn't stop the crowds. The energy is great any time of year, so enjoy the people-watching!

Orlando in December

When picturing Orlando, the first thing that comes to mind may be its summery weather and famous outdoor attractions. Still, the city comes alive during the wintertime, with fun events, seasonal entertainment and holiday cheer. There's always something going on during this time of the year, you just need to know where to look! Check out the dazzling light displays at Harry P. Leu Gardens, or cozy up in a museum café. Or, if you’re travelling with family, head over to Legoland for fantastic seasonal shows, or marvel at Disney’s annual holiday parade. Whether you’re a first-time visitor, or a seasoned veteran to the area, you’re sure to find something to suit your tastes. For a taste of Orlando during the festive season, check out our list of the best things to do during the month of December! Whatever you choose to do, we’re sure it’ll be great. Hit the Classics Every theme park worth its name knows how to do Christmas right – and Magic Kingdom is no exception to this rule. Drawing in millions of visitors each year, this place has long been one of the major attractions of the city – and it’s easy to see why. The park presents over 40 rides and attractions to be enjoyed, including It’s a Small World, Space Mountain, and of course, its iconic Cinderella Castle. But as if this place wasn’t magical enough, you can catch seasonal firework displays, parades, and magical ‘’snowfalls’’, turning the park into a captivating winter wonderland. A total classic for any time of the year, this quintessential Orlando mainstay is sure to put a smile on anyone’s face. Another one of our favorite theme park experiences for the month of December is available at Epcot. Staying true to the park’s main theme, the International Festival of the Holidays goes all out to provide a global celebration of the holiday season. Enjoy various iterations of Christmas through music, cuisine and special events. Each night all throughout the month, a celebrity will tell the story of Christmas accompanied by an orchestra and choir. Learn more about the time-honored traditions of different countries and soak up the holiday spirit. We especially love this take because it provides something a little different, with no less of the fun. See the Sites For those chilly December evenings, why not head out to the theater? If you’re looking for art and culture in the City Beautiful, you might be pleasantly surprised by what the area has to offer. For years, the Orlando Theatre has served as a regular entertainment house for some of the most talented performers you’ll ever see. Whether you’re looking to catch a Broadway show, see one of your favorite musicians, or laugh harder than ever with some live standup, this place has it all. In the past, the center has played host to the likes of Elton John, Paul McCartney and John Mulaney. Serving up engaging performances all throughout the week, this place would provide the perfect evening out in the city. Though December weather is generally pretty temperate, some days can get a little chilly. If you’re looking for a great colder weather activity, look no further than the Orlando Museum of Art. Founded way back in 1924, this place has long played a fundamental role in the city’s artistic community. In its impressive collection, you’ll find everything from Contemporary and American art to that of the Ancient Americas. We recommend checking the website before going for any upcoming exhibitions. With so much to see and learn, it'd be easy to just get lost here exploring this unique repository. Get Festive December is a fantastic time to visit some of Orlando’s famed theme parks, since the weather will be more bearable and the lines shorter. Great for those travelling with family, we’d consider Legoland way up there with Magic Kingdom as one of the top theme parks in the city. With over 50 rides, shows and attractions to choose from, the possibilities are pretty much endless here. Highlights include The Great Lego Race, The Dragon, and Miniland USA. Come Christmastime, the park transforms into an exciting dreamland, offering experiences worth treasuring forever. Catch seasonal shows, activities, sparkling lights, and more! With a wide variety of things to do stretching all throughout the month, there’s plenty of fun to be had here. Just because the city has cooled down doesn’t mean you have to stay huddled up inside! With its unique tropical climate, Florida is home to many wonderful green spaces just waiting to be discovered. An unmissable stop for all nature lovers, Harry P. Leu Gardens is well-recognized for its diverse collection of exotic plants. Covering over 40 acres, this charming historic park promises meticulously landscaped grounds and lakes, and great walking trails to enjoy. This stunning urban oasis is especially magical in the wintertime, when you can catch the Dazzling Nights display all throughout the month of December. Beautiful, calm and serene, we couldn’t think of a better way to spend some time away from the city. For a truly spectacular winter wonderland experience, check out Night of a Million Lights. Running all throughout the month, this event invites guests to enjoy a beautifully decorated fairytale neighborhood. Eat seasonal snacks as you stroll. Take a tram ride through the village. Enjoy a traditional Christmas market. Buying a ticket to this event provides support for ill children, so be sure to check it out. All-round feel good and super sparkly, this one should rank right at the top of the itinerary! While you might not get blankets of snow and wintry temperatures, no city knows how to celebrate the most wonderful time of the year better than Orlando. From exciting parades to over-the-top light displays, there’s much to do and see here for every type of traveller. Explore the city’s fantastic cultural institutions. Take a holiday tour of Epcot. Or, hang out and enjoy the sights at the Night of a Million Lights. Trust us when we say, you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to festive activities and events to choose from. Things to do Alone in Orlando

Wondering what to do alone in Orlando? The city is a great destination to discover in the company of others, but it is equally exciting for solo travellers. As one of the most popular tourist hotspots in the United States, the area presents no shortage of incredible attractions and hidden gems on the tourist trail. The city's museums are an absolute must - no matter where your interests may lie, you’re sure to find something to suit your tastes. If you’re a nature lover, there’s no better place to be than Harry P. Leu Gardens. For those looking to take a bit of downtime, the Winter Park Farmers’ Market is the perfect way to spend a relaxing afternoon in the sun. So, if you’re planning to make the visit, have a read through our list of the best things to do alone in the city. You won’t be the first person to explore Orlando, and you certainly won’t be last! Find Fun Activities Just because you’re travelling solo doesn’t mean you have to rule out certain activities. For those adventurous types out there, why not shake things up a little by spending the day at Orlando Watersports Complex? Perfect for sunseekers and sporty types alike, this place is recognized as one of the largest wakeboard parks in the United States. Still, that's not all there is to try out there – this unique aquation attraction has waterskiing, kneeboarding, boating, and much more, all set against the beautiful natural backdrop of Orlando. If you’re worried about getting a handle on things, there’s no need to worry – you'll be accompanied by trained professionals to guide you through each class. Highly invigorating and a little different, this place is sure to scratch that itch to try something new. For a truly engaging educational experience, why not head over to the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex? Built onto the site of the Kennedy Space Center (so you know it’s for real), the institute offers a comprehensive view of the history of space travel. The exhibits cover everything you could possibly think of to do with outer space aviation; there’s a U.S. Astronaut Hall of Fame, a garden with real rockets, and astronaut training simulators. In addition, you can attend talks held by veteran astronauts, happy to answer any questions you may have. As fascinating as it is fun, the museum provides a unique cultural experience quite like no other. Learn Something New Whilst Orlando may best be known for its famous theme parks, it’s also home to some wonderful cultural institutions perfect for those with curious minds. Founded by a group of art enthusiasts in 1924, the Orlando Museum of Art is a total must-see for all creative types. The establishment’s evolving collection of over 2,400 works includes everything from Contemporary Art to that of Ancient Americas. Upon entrance, visitors can enjoy exciting exhibitions covering everything from fine art and avant-garde sculpture to classical paintings. Look out for seminal pieces by Georgia O’Keeffe, Jean-Michel Basquiat, and Andy Warhol. Another one of our favorite solo activities for the city is visiting the Orlando Fire Museum. For firefighting fanatics and history lovers alike, the institute seeks to present the history of the city’s fire division in an interesting and educational manner. Walking through the museum is a fascinating experience; you’ll be able to spot differences in technology and design as you move each era. Amongst the institute's permanent collection, you can view antique tools and apparatus from as early as the 1900s. Still, the museum’s main draw is its impressive collection of vintage fire engines, showcasing how much things have changed. As intriguing as it is unique, we love this place because it’s impossible to leave without having learned something new. Have Fun Outdoors Since Florida is famed for its beautiful weather, it will come as no shock that Orlando is home to many lush green spaces. If you’re looking to spend some time in nature, look no further than Harry P. Leu Gardens. Years ago, the Leus travelled the world, bringing back a wide variety of exotic plants to fill the park. Thankfully, the garden still flourishes due to Florida’s subtropical climate, and is open for everyone to visit all year round! Covering over 50 acres, the garden features a tropical rain forest, a formal rose garden, a butterfly garden, and more. In addition, there are permanent and rotating art exhibits, and a historic home open for viewing. Whether you're looking to have a picnic or soak up the sun, this place has it all. If strolling through stands of artisanal cheese and raw honey sounds good to you, then don’t worry – we've got you covered! Taking place every Saturday, the Winter Park Farmers’ Market is a total favorite for locals and visitors alike. Though this event is well-recognized for its fresh produce, its real draw is its many food purveyors, offering a wide variety of dishes from across the globe. Don’t miss out on hot chicken pot pies or Jamaican patties fresh from the oven, all washed down with a large glass of beer. Still, that isn’t all there is to see here. Walking around the market, you’ll find everything from souvenirs and trinkets to original art and jewellery. With its fun, laid-back energy, the market provides a totally fuss-free way to get to know the area. What more would we ask for? Exploring a new city alone can sound a little daunting – still, with the right planning, it doesn’t have to be. Solo travel in Orlando can be wonderful, presenting an exciting mix of cool attractions and points of interest to be discovered. Looking for culture? Look no further than the Orlando Museum of Art. For those who want to get active, the Orlando Watersports Complex is your best bet. If you’re thinking of something a little more low-key, the Winter Park Farmers’ Market should fulfil that very need. Orlando is a city with endless possibilities, so you’re sure to find something for you. To find out how to save money on your trip, check out our Explorer Pass and All-Inclusive Pass. Whether you’re visiting with family, friends, or your favorite partner-in-adventure, we’ve packed this weeklong itinerary with just the right mix of big thrills, relaxation, and delightful discoveries. Curious which Orlando wonders made our list? Let’s dive in!  Our favorite Orlando highlights you’ll find on this journey include:  Kennedy Space Center  Gatorland  SEA LIFE Aquarium  The Orlando Eye  Madame Tussauds Orlando  WonderWorks  Museum of Illusions  LEGOLAND® Florida  Chocolate Kingdom  Island H2O Water Park  The Outta Control Magic Dinner Show  Daytona International Speedway track tour  Clearwater Marine Aquarium  Gator Park Airboat Tour  Big Bus Miami Hop-On, Hop-Off Discover Tour  Great local eats, bars, and scenic strolls  Day 1: Countdown to Adventure at Kennedy Space Center & Cocoa Beach  Start your Orlando odyssey with a voyage to space—figuratively, of course, unless you’re secretly an astronaut! Catch the greyhound bus or arrange a shuttle service from Downtown Orlando (many local providers run daily; book in advance for the best rates) and you’ll be at the Kennedy Space Center in just over an hour.  Kennedy Space Center is as vivid as it gets for space lovers. Immersive exhibits put you in the footsteps of astronauts. Step inside a Saturn V rocket, launch your own lunar landing in the Shuttle Launch Experience, and stroll below the Space Shuttle Atlantis—suspended and shining under dramatic lighting. The Heroes & Legends Hall sparks awe with real artifacts, and the Rocket Garden outside makes for memorable photos. If you hit it right, you might even “meet an astronaut” for a Q&A!  By lunchtime, grab a meal at the Orbit Café—think classic American with a retro-futuristic twist, all within reach of real rockets. Afterward, catch the “Journey to Mars” presentation, then hop back on your shuttle or bus and ask the driver for a quick stop at Cocoa Beach Pier.  Cocoa Beach is the ultimate Orlando “bonus.” Watch surfers ride Atlantic waves and wander the fishing pier’s breezy walkways. Grab ice cream or a drink at Rikki Tiki Tavern perched over the ocean. Dip your toes in the sand — you’ve earned it.  On your ride home, chill and scroll through those cosmic photos. Tonight, treat yourself to The Ravenous Pig in Winter Park—accessible by local bus or a quick Uber ride. This cheerful, bustling gastropub serves standout pub grub: go for the duck confit or the famous house-made charcuterie, and raise a glass from their Florida craft beer list. The outdoor patio is pure vacation mode.  Day 2: Eye-Opening Downtown Orlando  Ease into day two with vibrant city life! Ride the LYNX City Bus downtown (routes 104, 20, or 306 are handy depending on your hotel).  Your first stop: the towering Orlando Eye, now called The Wheel at ICON Park. This 400-foot observation wheel is the best way to map out your adventures—spot theme parks, lakes, and even distant rocket launch towers on a clear day. The ride is smooth, the views stretch forever, and each capsule is comfortably air-conditioned.  Back down to earth, stroll next door to Madame Tussauds Orlando. Snap a selfie with lifelike wax stars—from superheroes to pop icons, no judgment on fan reactions. The layout’s roomy and interactive, making it a hit for groups and families.  A few steps away is the SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium. Wander through Florida’s only 360º tunnel, surrounding you with swirling rays, turtles, and even sharks. Touch tanks, sea horses, and playful otters make this aquarium buzz with aquatic charm. Perfect for escaping the afternoon heat.  Lunch calls! ICON Park has multiple tempting spots, but we love Tapa Toro for its Spanish-inspired tapas. The décor is bright, filled with striking tiles and flamenco flair, and you can’t go wrong with the classic paella or their signature sangria.  Next up, hop on the I-Ride Trolley heading north to WonderWorks—a mad, upside-down mansion of hands-on science, laser tag, and quirky experiments. Kids love challenging gravity in the bubble lab and earthquake simulator. Adults, you’ll find yourself gleefully solving puzzles or strapped in for a 4D motion ride.  If you can peel yourself away, dinner tonight is all about relaxed vibes at The Stubborn Mule, a local favorite in Thornton Park just east downtown. Their cocktail menu is inventive, and dishes like lamb meatballs or shrimp-and-grits hit the spot after a packed day. String lights and funky murals create a groovy Orlando backdrop.  For a nightcap, stroll Lake Eola’s walking path and spot the famous swan boats. If you’re visiting on a Sunday, the Orlando Farmers Market lines the park with local food, crafts, and music.  Day 4: LEGOLAND® Florida & Chocolate Dreams  Ready for a little road trip? Catch a dedicated LEGOLAND® shuttle from Orlando’s I-Drive (book ahead, shuttle departs early!) for a smooth hour’s ride to LEGOLAND® Florida Resort in Winter Haven.  Entirely geared for families, LEGOLAND® offers a splash of childhood wonder for everyone. Towering LEGO® sculptures, amusing water rides, and gentle roller coasters create a playful vibe. Miniland USA’s skyline brings the entire country to life, brick by brick. Younger kids get entire playground zones while grownups sneak off for dragon coasters or nostalgia-fueled building zones.  If you need a midday break, the Market Restaurant inside the park dishes up fresh sandwiches and salads with lake views. Save time for the LEGOLAND® Water Park section: lazy rivers, water slides, and colorful LEGO® rafts turn the Florida heat into pure joy.  Once you return to Orlando in the late afternoon, sweeten the night with a tour of Chocolate Kingdom back near I-Drive. Live guides whisk you through everything chocolatey—from rainforest cacao pods to bubbling ganache cauldrons. The tour ends with a hands-on session to design your own candy bar (kids and adults equally enthusiastic).  For dinner, stroll over to Café Tu Tu Tango, an Orlando legend that combines ever-rotating local art, tapas-size plates, and the buzz of live painters on the floor. Try the blackened fish tacos and the sangria pitcher. Brick walls, eclectic lamps, and people-watching guarantee a memorable evening.  Day 5: Underwater Worlds and Wild Rides  Today’s all about mixing wildlife wonder with waterpark wildness. Begin with a short ride to Clearwater Marine Aquarium on a chartered transfer (ask your hotel for the best shuttle; public buses run from downtown but plan for a longer commutes). This unique haven is famous for Winter the dolphin. Interactive tanks, rescued sea turtles, and rooftop boardwalks make every visit feel personal—plus, you’re supporting rescue and rehabilitation efforts.  Make your way back to Orlando in time for an adrenaline reset at Island H2O Water Park near Kissimmee. Take a quick Uber or Lyft straight to the entrance, or hop the 56 LYNX bus from major Orlando transit hubs.  Island H2O’s standout feature is the social-media themed slides—race friends on Reply Racers or retreat to the lazy river for maximum chill. The Private Domain cabana area offers shade and snacks, while live DJs and splash zones keep energy levels high (‘Follow Me Falls’ is our go-to).  Dinner is casual and close at Ford’s Garage — burgers as juicy as the classics on display, topped with anything you can imagine, and served in a car-themed setting that feels mischievously fun, not gimmicky.  Feeling energetic? Head back to downtown’s Mathers Social Gathering for an expertly crafted cocktail in a slightly speakeasy-inspired setting—antique décor, plush sofas, and a playlist that keeps the party humming.  Day 6: Speed, Nature, and a Farewell Feast  Last day! Fuel up early and take the SunRail to Sanford, then transfer to the Daytona International Speedway using the local Volusia County bus (bus 60 from DeLand station; check schedules for timely connections).  The Daytona International Speedway Track Tour is exhilarating—walk the hallowed pit row, peer into garages where cars breathe fire, and step atop Victory Lane for a champion’s photo moment. The guides beam with pride as they reveal secrets from racing’s golden age.  Afterwards, journey back to Orlando (reverse bus/SunRail route; ride-shares available too) and enjoy lunch at Yellow Dog Eats in Windermere, whose pulled pork nachos and rustic garden patio combine flavor with friendly neighborhood vibes.  Feeling adventurous? Head out on a guided Gator Park Airboat Tour in the Everglades. Arrange a pick-up from Orlando’s main hotels, or call a local Uber to the Gator Park base in Kissimmee. Speed across alligator-inhabited wetlands, birds swirling overhead, your captain pointing out old cypress trees and baby gators. It’s exciting and deeply peaceful all at once.  Back in town, round out your trip with a feast at The Boathouse at Disney Springs: their amphicar tours and tableside oysters make this lakeside restaurant a winner. The casual, nautical decor and gentle lake breezes add to the “Florida finished strong” mood.  If you’re not ready to say goodbye, a final stroll through Disney Springs delivers live music, food stalls, boutiques, and more. Snag a late-night cupcake from Sprinkles or clink glasses at Wine Bar George to toast your unforgettable week.  The Perfect Six Days in Orlando: Wrapped with a Bow  There you have it: six full days of Orlando you’ll remember for years.
