About this experience

If you’re heading out from Sydney to the Hunter Valley wineries or beyond, the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park makes for a great stop-off. It’s chock-full of cute and curious critters – get up close to native Australian animals including koalas, kangaroos and meet meerkats, monkeys, lions and more from Africa, Asia and the Americas.

There are informative daily keeper talks on the native wildlife and you’ll be able to pet some of the animals and see them eat their fill at feeding time. There are 10 acres to explore in this privately owned park with plenty of spots for picnics around the verdant grounds.

Buy animal food to feed the farm animals and kangaroos, or book add-on encounters to get really up close and personal with the lemurs, lions, marmosets, meerkats, squirrel monkeys and more.
