What to expect when visiting Bryant Park Ice Skating Rink
Since 2002, Bryant Park has transformed from a quaint greenspace to a euphoric winter wonderland come winter time. Complete with a collection of 170 holiday vendors, a 17,000-sq ft ice rink, and a delicious food hall made up of 12 vendors serving delicious holiday meals, it’s no surprise as to why it’s the best and biggest holiday market in the city.
Of course, the crown jewel of the park is the gorgeous ice rink. It’s the centerpiece of the entire village and sits right in front of Bryant Park’s 50-foot-tall Christmas tree. Although the village is usually packed with people celebrating the holiday’s, the giant rink makes room for everyone.
With your Bryant Park Ice Skating Rink tickets, you’ll be able to skip the general admission line and get right in to rent your skates. They offer high quality pro skates in kids sizes 6 – 4 and adult sizes 5 -14. Once you’re laced into your skates and your goodies from the holiday market are packed away, it’s time to get on the ice.
No matter your skill level, the Winter Village Ice Rink is for everyone. If you need assistance, you can even arrange for a skate lesson or rent a skating assistant – they look just like penguins and snowmen. You’ll have plenty of free time to race around on the ice and try your luck at twists and turns. You can easily spend the whole day here floating around the ice and watching all the holiday merriment.
After you’ve skated to your hearts content, peruse the holiday stalls, shops, and food booths. You’ll find everything from hand-painted ornaments to designer sunglasses to the best hot chocolate you’ve ever had. The magic of Bryant Park’s Winter Village and Ice Rink is something you have to experience for yourself!
