Whether you're a history buff or a theatre fanatic, there's lots to love about the Hamilton Happy Hour Tour. You'll walk in the footsteps of Alexander Hamilton, and explore the nooks and crannies of New York's oldest neighborhood.
Just like the musical, this tour celebrates the life and accomplishments of this Founding Father. You’ll learn all about how an ‘illegitimate immigrant’ earned his ticket to New York City. And you'll discover how, on the eve of a revolution, his hard work, ambition, brilliance, and charismatic personality helped pave the way for him to become one of the most beloved – and controversial – figures in American history.
You’ll also learn about his legacy and influence on American politics as the first Secretary of the Treasury - an influence that still proves true in today's society. You’ll see how Wall Street, the Stock Exchange, and the American financial system echo some of his original ideas as you walk through the place where it all started, the Financial District.
As you explore the area, your guide will point out important institutions and landmarks from the days of the American Revolution, including Federal Hall where Hamilton witnessed George Washington getting sworn in as the nation’s first President. After two hours of walking and observing history, you’ll end the tour with a stop at Hamilton's favorite tavern to grab a beer and toast to a perfect tour.
