A highly anticipated time of the year for members and supporters of the LGBTQ community – Pride Month is kicking off in beautiful Orlando! Last year’s Come Out With Pride celebration was attended by more than 100,000 visitors, and even more are expected to turn out this year for the festivities to support the movement of increased solidarity and awareness. While the entire month hosts a bevy of Pride events, the official Come Out with Pride day is October 5th – making it the most action-packed weekend to provide the optimal Pride experience! The entire first week will feature a special Come Out With Pride beer garden at Lake Eola, where barricades allow for attendees to walk around the lake, enjoy the festival and entertainment with a cocktail in-hand! Thursday, October 3rd
Opening Ceremony: Pride Takes Center Stage! 6:30pm @ The Cheyenne Saloon – 128 W. Church Street, Orlando Come Out With Pride will be kicking off the celebration with a special performance by Steve Grand, as well as local groups and artists. No cover required! Pride at Halloween Horror Nights 23 7:00pm @ Universal Orlando Wear purple and join Come Out With Pride as they invade Halloween Horror Nights 23 – said to be “The scariest thing since coming out to your parents”. Come Out With Pride Parade 4:00pm @ Lake Eola Wrapping around Lake Eola from N. Summerlin Avenue to E. Robinson, stake out the ultimate vantage point to enjoy this sensational parade and celebration!Saturday, October 5th
Be the Change 5K 7:30am @ 142 E. Jackson Street, Orlando Walk, run, or strut with pride on this 3.1 mile course through the heart of the Lake Eola District. You may be overtired from Friday night’s activities, but the sense of comradery will help you to endure! Pride Block Party 7:00pm @ 110 W. Church Street, Orlando Located in from of Hamburger Mary’s, Martha Wash is slated to headline a fabulous, fun block party at Church Street Station. Join in for a night of entertainment and comedy brought to you by great brands and venues. Best of all – it’s free! Come Out With Pride Festival 12:00pm @ Lake Eola 150 vendors showcase their products and services, 10 full bars, 6 beer tents, entertainment and live music throughout – what could be better?
