You'll see everything from leopards, tigers, and bears, to manatees and wallabies, and you'll learn all about the ZooTampa's conservation and wildlife projects too. The zoo is committed to the rescue, rehabilitation, and care of all animals.  ZooTampa is actually home to one of only four manatee rehabilitation centers in the US, caring for over 500 manatees since the early 90s. 

Little ones will love the Water Play Area in Wallaroo Station, as well as the fairground-style rides which include a Tiger Coaster and a Jungle Carousel.

Florida Wildlife – Florida is home to 760 different species that exist nowhere else in the world. At Florida Wildlife, you'll see Florida panthers, manatees, stingrays, and more.

Asian Gardens – come nose-to-nose with endangered Asian species like tigers, Clouded leopards, and Indian rhinos.

Primate World – monkey business is an everyday thing at Primate World. See tiny squirrel monkeys, colorful mandrills, and Bornean orangutans play and interact.

Australia – take the kids on Aussie Trek to learn about Australia's unique wildlife. Cool down in the splash pad, climb in the play zone, explore amazing animals and enjoy delicious food.

Safari Africa – continue your animal adventure with Expedition Africa. Watch as elephants, zebras, meerkats, and rhinos graze through the plains of Safari Africa.

ZooTampa facts

• ZooTampa’s David A. Straz Jr. Manatee Critical Care Center has habilitated over 300 manatees and is the only year-round manatee exhibit in Florida.
• The zoo offers animal encounters and other experiences, like Zoo School or the African Penguin Backstage experience, for an additional fee.

Getting in

Simply show your pass any ZooTampa ticket window and you’re in.

Parking: Free parking is available, located just off 275 Exit 48, and is 10 minutes from downtown Tampa.

Weather Guarantee

Does the weather look like it's going to dampen your day of wildlife? Don't worry,  you're entitled to a free return visit to the zoo if the weather ruins your plans! 

The guarantee, available all year round, covers heavy rain and lightning lasting more than an hour and an extreme heat index of 110 and above. All you have to do is visit the Guest Services Kiosk on the same day of your visit and present your original ticket and you'll be given a return visit ticket that's valid for one admission within the following 60 days.
