Sip and savor a delicious cup of Imperial Golden Cassia from China’s southern Fujian province.

The Chinese art of tea-drinking is as much about calm, relaxation and mindfulness as it is about actually drinking the tea. Enter the zen-like tranquility of this traditional teahouse in bustling Chinatown, kick off your shoes and enjoy the gentle aromas of brewing tea.

Tea Chapter is the largest and oldest teahouse in Singapore. Behind the restored facade of this three-story shophouse is a cozy haven of ornate Chinese architecture, elegant Eastern furnishings, carefully curated artworks and traditional Chinese classical music.

If this doesn’t get you zen enough, your tea-drinking experience includes a pot of Imperial Golden Cassia. This light oolong from China’s Fujian province has a delicate floral osmanthus aroma and hints of jasmine. It’s tea that is literally fit for royalty: on their visit in October 1989, Queen Elizabeth II and her husband the Duke of Edinburgh were served the very same brew.

Sit back, relax and feel absolutely regal as you learn to appreciate the gentle art of tea-drinking.
