What you'll do
Get out of the city and explore one of Catalunya's most picturesque locations - Montserrat - without worrying about transportation. Amigo tours will pick you up and drop you back off right in the heart of the city, and give you plenty of time to explore Montserrat at your own pace.
Leaving Plaza de Catalunya first thing in the morning on an air-conditioned bus, you'll
enjoy the ascending trip to the mountain of Montserrat, located 720 meters above sea level. Offering some of the best sunrise views you could possibly wish for, Montserrat is the perfect spot to snap some spectacular landscape photos and soak in the unique views.
You'll then be left to explore on your own. Perhaps you can take a visit to the famous Benedictine monastery? Or you can don your hiking boots and follow one of the picturesque
hiking routes. It's totally up to you.

The monastery was founded in the 11th century and rebuilt between the 19th and 20th centuries. Today, it
still functions with over 70 monks and is notable for enshrining the image of the
Virgin of Montserrat.

Montserrat was declared a National Park in 1987.
"Montserrat" literally means "saw mountain" in Catalan which is in reference to the appearance of the multitude of jagged rock formations that are visible from a distance.

Where you'll meet
Estación de Francia, Av. del Marquès de l'Argentera, 6. Your guide will be waiting at the main entrance of the station with the Amigo Tours symbol.
How to get there
Take subway line L1 to the Arc de Triompf station and once there, cross the park. The meeting point is on the opposite side of the Arch monument.
