What you'll do
Beginning with the Stone Age, this museum takes you on a journey from the origins of Catalonia through to the present day.
The museum illustrates the history, culture, and politics of the area through interactive exhibits, dioramas, film, photographs, and artifacts and offers a fascinating insight into Catalonia and its people.
As well as its permanent exhibit, the museum's first floor also hosts temporary exhibitions that are included with your Barcelona Pass.

Second floor
Here, you'll learn about the origins of Catalonia,
beginning with the
Palaeolithic era.
Third floor
Discover Catalonia's modern history, from the 18th century
through to the present day.
Terrace
Finish up on the museum's terrace, which has incredible views of the port.
Facts
The museum is housed in a 19th-century warehouse and is the only original building on the old port that hasn’t been demolished.
