Where’s Hot in February

By February, we’re all longing for the warmth and sunshine. The December holidays seem like the distant past, and while February is the shortest month, it’s also one of the hardest to get through in terms of the often-miserable weather. If you’re hoping to get away from all the sleet, snow, slush... you name it, then check out one of these warm weather destinations. For those of you wondering where’s hot in February for the best winter escape, we’ve pulled together a list of a few of our favorite hot weather destinations. Visit any of these destinations with Go City and save big on admission to the best things to do outdoors. They each vary in what they have to offer, but one thing they share in common is that enviable warm weather.

Orlando

Florida is fabulous during the winter, and Orlando is a delightful getaway from the chill elsewhere. You’ll find that it’s not as popular with tourists in February, so you can often get better deals on hotels, etc. It’s the perfect time to check out your favorite theme park! If you’re not going the theme park route, we like plenty of other attractions to help you enjoy the pleasant weather. Check out the Everglades on a boat tour, zip around the waters of St. Pete Beach hanging out with some playful dolphins, or take the kids to the Florida Aquarium. Average High Temps: 75F / 24C

Singapore

This is one of the destinations of the winter, both with respect to the literal weather and with the amazing things to do. Sit back and relax on one of the stellar beaches, or explore the fantastic resort Sentosa Island. Sip a cocktail on a rooftop bar, or stroll the markets looking for authentic local grub. You can also roam the serene Gardens by the Bay, meet the animals at the Singapore Zoo, and see the whole island from above the Singapore Flyer—one of the world’s largest observation wheels. There’s also a Singapore branch of the world-famous Universal Studios, which is a delightful experience. Average High Temps: 88F / 31C

Cancun

What’s not to love about Mexico’s most popular oceanfront city in February? Cancun is filled with hot days and nights, from adventurous excursions to exciting open bars. Whether you love nature or culture, the open ocean or the dense jungle—it’s all there for you in Cancun. Explore Mayan ruins and real cenotes on an exhilarating tour. Swim with the dolphins on an unforgettable experience. Snorkel, swim, parasail, or just lounge on a beach. You can even pursue full-day adventures that include zip-lining, ATV rides, and more. Average High Temps: 83F / 28C

Miami

Florida’s other hot February destination, Miami is a cultural and culinary center. You can find exciting sports teams, informative educational museums and institutions, and some of the best food and drink around. Come here to take a tour of the city, then follow it up with a luxurious cruise. Rent a bike to pedal around the boardwalks, or try your hand at kayaking and paddleboarding. Or, just stroll around the Art Deco District to be inspired. Don’t forget to try a little Cuban cuisine (or rum!) while you’re in town. Average High Temps: 75F / 24C

Dubai

While the Emirate is hot year-round, February is actually one of the more manageable times of year for being outside in Dubai. No need to huddle inside your hotel, leaving only to go to another air-conditioned building (of which there are a lot in Dubai, to be fair). Get out and enjoy the beautiful beaches and deserts around this glittering city. Sunbathe, swim, splash, and play with the whole family at the Aquaventure Waterpark. Learn more about the natural world at the Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo. Many visitors also like to visit Abu Dhabi in February, too, with its gorgeous mangroves and beautiful historical structures. Average High Temps: 78F / 25C

Sydney

February is an excellent time to visit Sydney. It’s hot but not overly so, and the wealth of cultural attractions is matched only by its abundant natural beauty. You can stick around Sydney to explore the Opera House, the museums, or go shopping. Or, head out a bit to talk a tour along Bondi Beach, ride a bike for a few hours, or zip through the trees at Illawarra Fly Treetop Adventures. You can even take a trip out to the magnificent Blue Mountains to explore their significant natural and cultural heritage. Average High Temps: 79F / 26C
