GPO Museum facts
- The GPO building was the communications hub of Ireland and served as headquarters to those taking part in the 1916 Easter Rising
- The façade is all that remains of the original building, the rest being destroyed by a fire in the Easter Uprising
- It was one of the last Georgian buildings erected in the capital in 1814
