What you'll do
Explore an important piece of American History aboard the iconic Battleship USS Iowa. Known as the Battleship of Presidents this impressive structure is the only battleship museum on the West Coast.
This living history museum, and famous engineering marvel, provides a fascinating way to explore various topics such as history, science, technology, engineering, and math. Youll get to experience what life at sea was like for sailors over the past 70 years and see what technology was used when the battleship was designed and built in the 1940s.
Facts
The USS Iowa is made of 45,000 tons of steel.
The battleship has an esteemed record having served during World War II, the Korean War, and through the Cold War.
As well as being a hero in the water, this ship has also been the star of the screen having been featured in film and television series including NCIS: Los Angeles, American Warships, Bermuda Tentacles, and Dark Rising.
