A 90 minute tour that drives across land and is capable of going into the water, providing a really cool way of seeing South Beach and Miami Beach is an up close and personal way that standard pedestrians won’t be able to see. The tour is made that much better with the tour guide, who takes a comedic approach. The show lasts a total of 90 minutes and encompasses a large part of Miami Beach. The tour starts and finishes in the same location. Of the destinations included during the tour, there is:

Miami South Beach

Get a close-up look of all that’s going on throughout Miami South Beach, including any events that may be taking place. There’s the beach on one side and a lot of pedestrian-friendly shopping and street cafes on the other side. Palm trees stand tall and it’s a great opportunity to take some photos – some that may be postcard worthy.

Art Deco District

The Art Deco District of Miami Beach shows off a lot of the different architecture. This area is defined from Sixth Street to the South and Collins Canal to the North. There are 960 historic buildings throughout the area and include a number of different architectures. Hotels, residences, and more are found throughout the area, all with unique architecture, commonly featured in many Florida magazines and books.

Fisher Island

The duck tour takes to the water and goes over to Fisher Island, where virtually everything is inspired by the Mediterranean. There is only a population of about 150 people, and has a luxury spa, golf course, and much more.

Millionaire’s Row

Millionaire’s Row is called such because it is one of the most exclusive residential neighborhoods. The houses can vary architecturally, but many are mansions and sell for considerably more than $1 million. Some are celebrity-owned, too.

Homes of the Rich & Famous

It’s fun to drive by some homes and discover that Hollywood actors and actresses live here, at least some parts of the year. Some of the celebrities that have been known to have homes in South Beach include Will Smith, Brad Pitt, Jennifer Lopez, Madonna, Matt Damon, and the list goes on and on.

The Show

The “show” as defined by the brochures for the duck tour is all put on by the tour guide, who has a background in acting. They are the ones who put on the show in order to make the tour that much more entertaining. There is some music, some jokes, as well as a variety of fun games to play. Duck whistles can be purchased and blown at unsuspecting tourists who are not on the duck tour as well, which can be half the fun just to see what people’s reactions are.
