While Orlando doesn’t have the nightlife reputation of neighboring Miami, it’s no slouch when it comes to bars, nightclubs, and live music. Especially when you include the nightlife offerings from Disney and Universal, Orlando really does have it all when it comes to after dark fun.

Wall Street Plaza

This downtown Orlando entertainment complex offers a mixture of bars and restaurants with exciting nightlife options. There are seven distinct venues, each with something different to offer, from happy hour specials to late-night dancing. If you’re after a real classic nightclub feel, Shine is a good destination.

House of Blues

While part of a national chain of entertainment venues, the Disney Springs location of House of Blues is well-worth your time and dollars. It’s an expansive venue with multiple areas to hang out in besides the main stage area, so you can also go when the music isn’t exactly to your taste. That said, you’ll probably find something up your alley with their eclectic mix of musical acts from big, international names to local favorites.

Pointe Orlando

An International Drive stand-out, Pointe Orlando is the perfect way to end a day of sightseeing and exploring I-Drive. A few of the top venues here include: the famed B.B. King’s Blues Bar, featuring amazing live bands and a modest cover charge; the chic cocktail bar Blue Martini; and the hilarious Improv Comedy Club. There’s also shopping and dining here, if you’d like to enjoy some non-alcohol related activities.

Universal CityWalk

Crafted by Universal to be the ultimate day and nightlife destination, Universal CityWalk boasts a wealth of shopping, dining, and bars. Marvel at the always-impressive Blue Man Group or party at the iconic Hard Rock Café Orlando. This is a nice option for those traveling with kids or teens who don’t want to ditch the family to go out for the evening.

Disney Springs

Host to places like HOB and others, Disney Springs is among the more adult-friendly parts of Disney’s properties in Orlando. Here you’ll find dozens of restaurants, shops, and bars, including wine bars, a jazz club, and even late-night bowling. Don’t come here expecting to see much of Mickey, however—this is more of an urban, upscale experience.

Tier Nightclub

If EDM music is your thing, this is your nightclub. Tier is renowned throughout the city for their music and their late-night drinks. Live DJs really make the experience, so expect this to be a dance-til-you-drop kind of place. There are VIP tables available, too, if you’d really like to go all out. Tier is located in the Lake Eola neighborhood, where you’ll also find several other top clubs.

Corona Cigar Company

For those who enjoy a good toke on a quality cigar alongside a finger or two of whiskey, this is your joint. Soak up Latin music and Central American décor as well as a wide selection of fine spirits. And as far as the cigars, while you can certainly find some super high-end options, there are also many affordable choices as well.

The Beacham

The Beacham is an Orlando legend. Based in a converted theater space, this expansive venue is known for welcoming famous acts and big names to a raucous party atmosphere. They feature drink promos and other specials throughout the week, so it’s worth checking out their Facebook page to see what you might enjoy on your chosen night.

Mango’s Tropical Café Orlando

Mango’s is pretty unique among Orlando nightclubs in that minors are permitted (before 10:30 pm). So, if you are traveling with, tweens or underage teens, they can still enjoy salsa dancing, pop cover bands, and exciting live stage acts. Do keep in mind that there is a minimum amount each person in your party needs to spend. Reservations are highly recommended.

The Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show

One more for the family-friendly crowd, the Outta Control Magic Comedy Dinner Show is consistently rated among traveler’s favorite nightlife activities in Orlando. Enjoy a tasty meal plus endlessly entertaining comics performing your kids’ new favorite party tricks. It’s a very interactive experience and is ideal for families with small children.
