Seoul in June

Seoul’s dynamic and vibrant energy makes it a year-round destination, but if you prefer warm weather, then June is a great month to visit. This month marks the beginning of summer in Seoul, which is usually hot and humid.

Temperatures in June are warm but not yet sweltering, and the lovely sunny days are perfect for being outdoors. The summer holidays haven’t started yet, so June is the least crowded summer month, but it’s a good idea to visit outdoor attractions in the morning when temperatures are at their lowest. As temperatures increase towards the end of the month, Seoul’s many art galleries, museums, and indoor attractions offer a respite from the afternoon heat.

Seoul hosts two major music festivals this month. The three-day World DJ Festival sees over 100,000 festivalgoers dancing to music by world-renowned DJs, while the Waterbomb Festival showcases the country's top EDM and hip-hop artists. Festivalgoers are given water guns to battle it out in huge swimming pools at the venue.
