The Makapuu Point Lighthouse Trail is a fairly easy hike that offers a beautiful and memorable experience. Unforgettable views!
StacyBeautiful day in Oahu. Tour guide was prompt, informative and very personable. We were not able to stop at the Blowhole due to the filming of a movie, however our guide took us to the next beach so we could see the Blowhole. The hike to the light house was excellent, picturesque views all the way to the top! Maybe a bit on the more challenging side for those not used to steep incline walking. The path is paved and well maintained. The whole thing is worth it once you get to the top, views like no others!
Wonderful Experience
DmkindellThe tour driver was awesome and showed us many sites.This is very high climb, well paved but can be challenging because even though it's paved well there are places where as you walk there is no barriers on either side and if you are scared of heights it may effect you some. At the lookout up top there are plenty of rails. My wife and I helped one 30 year old make it to the top. People are very supportive and encouraging. We are age 67 and 68 and it was our first such adventure and it was great. But use caution even though it is paved. Don't let young children run free. I recommend they stay in Strollers until you get to the top. Please hold there hand and don't let got up too even though their are railings. I recommend this for adults and kids should be strictly supervised.

Beautiful Views
NikkiOur tour guide Matthew was great. He told us stories about the area, history, and kept everything moving along. The day we went the waves weren’t co-operating so the blowhole was not putting on the greatest show but the beach beside it was full of waves and then we went to the lighthouse. The trail to the lighthouse is paved making it easy to climb but it does add to the heat. There are strategic spots to sit and take pictures along the way. It’s a great walk and we enjoyed the view. Matthew was waiting with cold water once we arrived at the parking lot.
