The Grove
Possibly the most popular place to shop in L.A., the Grove is an expansive outdoor mall featuring all of your favorite shops, including Topshop, Anthropologie, Nike, Crate and Barrel, and many more. Shops are mostly high-end to moderately-priced, but there are some affordable options in there as well. It’s also located right near the Original Farmers’ Market if you’d like to mix your registers when shopping.
The Americana at Brand
This massive mall, actually located in Glendale, is about the biggest shopping mall you can imagine. It combines all your favorite eateries (Cheesecake Factory, anyone?) with several high-end and chic shops like Diane von Furstenberg, Madewell, Kate Spade, and more. You’ll also enjoy budget-friendly shopping like H&M and Urban Outfitters. There’s even a theater, a gorgeous fountain, and an electric trolley to ride around.
Melrose Avenue Shopping District
A boutique-focused stretch, Melrose Avenue is a great place to find that unique something special. Located in West Hollywood, this hot neighborhood hosts a diverse selection of shops and vendors. From big names like Rebecca Minkoff and Fred Segal to smaller indie shops, Melrose Avenue offers a lot to discerning shoppers. Plus, it’s right near several great restaurants and bakeries, making it a nice spot to spend a whole afternoon. 
Third Street Promenade
This Santa Monica hotspot boasts a little bit of everything for the shopaholic. It’s a chic space for retail, dining, and entertainment, with major label shops like Victoria’s Secret, Apple Store, Zara, Steve Madden, House of Hoops, and many more. Santa Monica Place includes more high-end options, like Tiffany’s, Ted Baker, Bloomies, and several others. The wide range of price points makes this an especially good spot for families and those on a budget.
Citadel Outlets
In nearby Commerce, CA, the Citadel Outlets are where fashionistas go to save money. You’ll find many of the most popular brands here at a great discount. There are all kinds of brands from Michael Kors and Coach to Adidas and even the Disney Store. It’s not the largest outlet mall selection out there, but it’s well-curated and boasts a variety of products. You'll find everything from like culinary accessories and cookware, athletic apparel, handbags, and high fashion, and kids’ clothing.
Ontario Mills
Willing to trek quite a way out of the city to Ontario, CA? You’ll find a massive outlet and retail shopping center – it's one of the largest of such venues in California. Ontario Mills feels more like a traditional mall combined with great deals. You’ll find things like Bath and Body Works, Justice, and Forever 21 alongside a North Face outlet, an Express Factory Outlet, and a Nordstrom Rack.
Rodeo Drive
Of course, we couldn’t forget about the one and only Rodeo Drive. Home to some of the most famous high-end stores and boutiques in the country, this shopping hotspot is not for those on a budget. However, if you’re looking to splurge and hope to find that special handbag or must-have denim, start here. Think of all the big names—Prada, Versace, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, David Yurman, Cartier, and so on.
