Experience a thrilling ride across the Everglades and learn all about the wetlands and its native inhabitants. There’s so much to see including, of course, plenty of gators. You'll pass a replica fishing camp and a palm and cypress wood structure called a chickee used by Native Americans. Then, you'll pick up speed and head through the tall sawgrass, which covers so much space that you’ll feel like you’re in an open prairie.
Your experienced, professional guide will be on hand to help you spot alligators, soft-shelled turtles, and exotic wading birds while providing the lively commentary. Keep your eyes peeled for the native snakes that also live in the waters, including the Blackpine, Brooks Kingsnake, Florida Kingsnake and Red Ratsnake.
Out here there's no dry land, except for the tree covered islands called hammocks where mammals such as raccoons, whitetail deer, and wild boar live.
