First, you’ll get your legs pumping with an uphill climb to the City Hall area. Then you'll make a stop at the Brooklyn-side tower of the bridge to get a selfie-worthy view of the New York Harbor, the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island and Staten Island.

Descending into Brooklyn, you’ll see the Financial District and the historic Brooklyn houses in the ‘Heights’ before returning over the bridge to visit the South Street Seaport.

Brooklyn Bridge facts:

• Brooklyn Bridge was an early feminist victory. Emily Warren Roebling was the driving force behind the bridge's completion after her husband, the chief engineer Washington Augustus Roebling, developed decompression sickness. She later earned a degree in law and published essays on gender equality.
• In 1894, the 'greatest showman' P.T. Barnum was tasked by the city to prove how sturdy the bridge was. His solution? March 21 elephants across it. Can't get much sturdier than that.

Getting in: there's no need to make a reservation, simply show your pass at the ticket counter. Bike tours are on a first-come, first-served basis. Please come in on the day to check in for the next available tour (at least 15 minutes in advance). You'll be required to bring an ID and credit card, but there will be no hold on the credit card.
