Know before you go

Pease present your pass in the Palace Gift Shop located in the Hale Koa Barracks building which is next to the Palace.

Reservations required for guided tour. Please call (808) 522-0832 and mention your Go Oahu pass.

Special Offer for Go Oahu pass holders: present your Go Oahu pass and receive a 15% discount in the Gift Shop.

Please note: children under 5-years-old must be in a front-held child carrier worn by an adult at all times, or safely strapped into a stroller provided by Iolani Palace. There is no charge to use the Palace strollers. Personal strollers are not permitted inside the Palace.

Not permitted inside the palace: 

  • Large bags, backpacks, and luggage
  • Food and beverages
  • Flash photography, videotaping, audio recording, tripods/monopods, and extended lenses, selfie sticks

Dress code: as Iolani Palace is a sacred place, please be dressed in a manner that is respectful of its cultural and historical significance. 

  • Shirts and footwear are required; you will also be asked to weare shoe coverings provided by the Palace.
  • Bathing suits and beachwear (including beach cover-ups), and clothing displaying profanity are not permitted.
