What you'll do
Don’t miss the chance to see the Oahu in all its scenic glory!
Cross Moli’i fishpond, an 800-year-old example of ancient Hawaiian aquaculture, where you will learn about sustainable fishing practices as well as the oyster farm and current stewardship practices. Then you’ll arrive at “Secret Island” and board the catamaran for an ocean tour of Kaneohe Bay. The tour offers spectacular views of Mokoli’i Island, Hakipu’u and Kualoa valleys, and the Ko’olau mountain range. If you’re lucky, you might catch sight of some turtles or other wildlife!
Kualoa Ranch is the spot for scenery in Oahu – so much so that it’s been used in many Hollywood movies and TV shows. You’ll see the incredible backgrounds used in Jurassic Park, Lost, 50 First Dates, Hawaii 5-0, and more. The stunning piece of land also serves as a major attraction, with many people coming to visit its ancient fishpond, secret beach, and beautiful gardens.
Kualoa Ranch Tour highlights
Kāneohe Bay
This is the largest sheltered body of water in the main Hawaiian Islands. The 8-mile long bay is dominated by a barrier reef (one of only two in the island chain), and sits on the northeast coast of Oahu.
Mokolii Island
This 12.5-acre island is located off the shore of Kualoa Point and was once connected to Oahu before erosion separated the two. The island is referred to as “Chinaman’s Hat” due to its resemblance to the straw hats worn by Chinese immigrants. The island is a popular spot for swimming and kayaking with locals.
Hokulea Beach
This beautiful patch of beach is the ceremonial home of the first modern replica of an ancient sailing canoe—a cultural and historic treat to behold.
