Suggested San Francisco bike routes
Bike the Bridge to Sausalito & Tiburon – start in Fisherman’s Wharf and then follow the National Park bike path on a scenic ride through the Marina, Crissy Field, and the Presidio, then across the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Continue on to the ocean-side towns of Sausalito and Tiburon, where you can poke around the art galleries, shops, and restaurants with awesome views across the bay to San Francisco. When you’re ready to return, you can take your bike onto the ferry and head back to San Francisco.
Union Square to Golden Gate Bridge via Golden Gate Park – for a more urban adventure, get started from Union Square and head down Market Street to check out City Hall and take 'the Wiggle' bike route to Alamo Square Park, Haight-Ashbury, and Golden Gate Park. Stop by Ocean Beach for views of the Pacific Ocean before continuing on to the Golden Gate Bridge.
Fisherman’s Wharf to Golden Gate Bridge – with this route you’ll cover a massive 16 miles but SF will be truly conquered. You’ll start on the National Park bike path through Aquatic Park, Fort Mason, the Marina, and Presidio National Park, to the Golden Gate Bridge. Go coastal from there via Lincoln Blvd, around Land’s End, past the Legion of Honor and Seal Rocks before hitting Ocean Beach for stunning views of the Pacific. This trip will finish with a San Francisco highlight – Golden Gate Park.
