Overview

No visit to Ireland is complete without paying a visit to MoLI and discovering the writers who shaped the country.

Located in the historic UCD Newman House, just a short walk from Grafton Street, MoLI celebrates Ireland's internationally renowned literary heritage, past and present, inspiring visitors to create, read and write. As one of Dublin's newest museums, it features three floors of interactive exhibitions, ranging from original short films to immersive soundscapes.

View priceless heritage artifacts on display to the public, including an essential Dublin Literary experience – seeing Copy No.1 of Ulysses inscribed by James Joyce.

With exhibitions constantly changing throughout the year, every visit to MoLI tells a different story. Explore the worlds and words of Irish writers, relax amid the museum's Readers' Garden, and enjoy a tea or coffee at The Commons Café. After your visit, stop by the MoLI Bookshop to browse books, unique gifts, and literary treasures inspired by Ireland's rich storytelling tradition.
