Embark on a memorable walking tour through one of Madrid’s most vibrant and historic neighborhoods: La Latina. Witness the enticing combinations of the area’s architecture, culture, and bustling markets as you discover fascinating stories and hidden gems.

The tour begins in Plaza Mayor. With historical roots dating back to medieval times, the plaza is still alive today and hosts stage shows and annual markets. Admire the statue of Philip III, then head over to the Mercado de San Miguel and let your senses roam free. Pass by convents, grab a cookie or two from a nun, stroll by the world’s oldest restaurant (dates back to 1725!), then settle in for stories about faith and legend at Puerta Cerrada and San Pedro el Viejo.

Wrap up the tour authentically with a drink and traditional tapas at a local bar in the heart of La Latina and reflect on a fantastic day.
