Great Activity!

Great adventure!
My 16 year-old and 13-year-old loved the bike rentals. They had a blast. We would definitely do it again. We got some amazing recommendations from the customer service agent and decided to go to Punchbowl cemetery for an overlook amazing views. I know it sounds weird to go to the cemetery, but you were just at the overlook and it is amazing. It was a good 25 minute ride. We did upgrade to the electric bike bikes and well worth it because we traveled huge circle around the city, we went then went to go find some food and it just was an amazing experience they give you the lock and the key to be able to lock your bike up. They give you clear directions have a phone number if you run into any issues or concerns, but definitely would give them an A+ rating because it was fabulous. Know that there were a few things we had to do to get in like waivers and stuff like that, but other than that, it was great.
great rental
For my 18 year old son it was a prefect way to take off and explore a little on his own.

Destiny ·Loved renting a moped. Staff was super accommodating and friendly, but it was $80 at check in for a half day rental with the insurance, so more expensive than expected for sure. I appreciated being able to park the bikes at their shop because parking is expensive in Waikiki.
Not worth it
eq24 ·Not actually a free rental. Makes you pay a bunch of other costs on top of an $800 down payment to ride.
Tourist Beware
FromCa ·We had a great time! This isn’t a 5 star review because this app explicitly says “upgrade to a full day for just $6.50” and that is wildly inaccurate. The shop knows this and puts it on GoCity, the tourist needs to read up on the company website. For 2 people that’d be just $14 on top of the GoCity app perk for the activity (“free”), but in reality it came to just over $100 for two people for a full day with fees, insurance, gas & a phone mount for navigating with your own phone. That transparency should be reflected on the GoCity app, nothing about this is “just $6.50.” It’s dangerous on the grid but the other drivers were generally very considerate as we stayed to the left on 2 lane roads and permitted freeways, speed limit was between 25 and 35, standard bikes go 30-35 but GoogleMaps tells you you’re actually 5 below. The company’s map says to be careful when in the bike lane, but another motorist rolled down his window to tell me “You’re not supposed to ride in the bike lane, be careful. I don’t want you guys to get wacked,” referring to having to weave in and out of the bike lane and actual traffic (even while signaling). Being in a lane on the road was indeed safer. If you weigh 150 or less & have patience, getting up to speed after stop lights is just fine. If you weigh 200 or more, it takes more time to get back up to 30mph & going up hills is extremely slow. It’s fun if you have a sense of humor! Not fun if you get stressed about drivers having to work around you. You might upgrade to the sport moped or higher for more umph, though we didn’t try those to be able to testify. It was sunny for us thankfully, they say they don’t do well in rain. If you can be safe out there, do it! It’s a great way to experience the island & we don’t have any regrets. We went up to Tantalus (prepare to hike if you want to take advantage of that), down to Hanauma Bay & back to the shop.
