Melinda S. ·This was so special as Little Women has been one of my favorite books since I was a girl. The site was easy to get to (with a rental car), beautiful, clean and well kept. The staff were very nice and our guide was informative, with just the right amount of time spent in each room and interesting info. Loved the girls gardens. Gift shop is very nice with quality merchandise and fairly reasonably priced - good selection too in a small space. Was very impressed with Amy (May's) art and the school room and presentation there was a nice addition to the tour.

Walking through the house with our guide really brought the Alcott family to life. The level of preservation and the original artifacts belonging to the family in situ allowed you to imagine the girls enacting their plays. And you could easily imagine the scenes from ‘Little Women’. This was a truly magical experience.
