Whether you’re an absolute beginner or a seasoned pro, you can experience the famous San Diego surf with a 90-minute surfboard rental from Bike and Kayak in La Jolla.

La Jolla Shores is one of San Diego’s best and most popular beaches for catching waves and surfing. It’s semi-protected from southwest winds which make for calmer waters and an easier location to learn the sport.

You’ll get to surf for a full 90 minutes, enjoy the beautiful shores of La Jolla (known as “the jewel” of San Diego), and experience the SoCal lifestyle and surf community San Diego is famous for. The beach has lifeguards on duty year-round, making this spot suitable for both beginners and novices.

: Getting in
Rentals are available on a walk-in basis (first-come, first-served). Present your pass upon arrival.
Children must be at least five years old for rentals. No experience necessary, but all participants must be able to swim. All necessary equipment is included; bathing suit is recommended for rentals. Offer subject to blackout dates.
