Haunted Happenings in Salem
All October What better place to celebrate Halloween than the infamous home of real live witches? Each year the town of Salem hosts a series of events called “Haunted Happenings.” It encompasses plenty of spooky things to do in Salem - from haunted houses to themed carnivals. Attractions range from the truly spooky “Chambers of Terror” to the free live music on the Fountain Stage. Stop by the House of Seven Gables for more spooky historical fun. Salem is THE place to be this October! Getting In: Admission to the Salem Witch Museum and the House of Seven Gables is included with the Go Boston pass.
FrightFest at Six Flags New England
Six Flags New England hosts the annual Fright Fest, filled with tons of spooky excitement. Themed rides and decor during the day combined with specifically dedicated exhibits at night for a “frightfully” full-day experience. With something for everyone, kids will enjoy day time Halloween activities including a classic TRICK-OR-TREAT Trail, shows and the park’s world-famous Looney Tune characters. Park-goers are invited to enjoy Thrills by Day, but be leery, when the sun goes down at the clock strikes 6:00 p.m. let the haunting commence. Highlights of Fright Fest include:

ZooHowl at Franklin Park Zoo
Hosted at the Franklin Park Zoo, this event is an opportunity for children to go trick-or-treating among the beloved animals at the zoo! Kids can also participate in themed crafts, games, and costume contests. There’s even a haunted maze! (Don’t worry, it’s not too scary). Getting In: General admission to the Franklin Park Zoo and Zoo Howl events is included with the Go Boston pass.
Halloween on the Harbor
Boston Waterfront A trick-or-treating event especially for adults, Halloween on the Harbor is a fun and laid-back way to explore the seasonal scene along the waterfront. Hop aboard a Duck Boat to pop between different popular bars. Don’t forget to wear a costume! Getting In: Tickets are required for the Duck Boat, but admission to the individual Halloween bars is free (although potentially subject to individual bar cover charges). 
Pru Boo
Your kids will love the chance to trick-or-treat inside this popular mall. It’s the must-do kids' event of the season, and it will be filled with tons of fun and excitement. For a small charitable donation, kids 12 and under can enjoy all the candy while you keep an eye out for special Halloween deals. Getting In: Admission to Pru Boo is free.
Ghosts & Gravestones Tours
Downtown Boston October Enjoy your glimpse into the darker side of Boston’s history this Halloween season. Learn about the most sinister figures in the city’s past, including some of its most famous ghosts. You’ll also get to your some seventeenth-century burial grounds, which is a nice historical bonus that’s still pretty creepy. Part of the tour is a walking tour.
