Butterfly Hollow
Walk amongst hundreds of vibrant butterflies fluttering in a peaceful garden oasis, open seasonally.
Outback Trail
Discover the best of Australia with kangaroos, wallabies, cockatoos, and emus. Don’t miss the Aussie Aviary, open seasonally, where you can feed colorful budgies.
Nature’s Neighborhoods
A favorite for little explorers! Watch red pandas climb, see prairie dogs pop up from their burrows, and step into a walk-through aviary with a duck pond.
Bird’s World & Raptor Ridge
The historic Bird’s World aviary is designed around four unique habitats: swamp, rainforest, desert, and wetlands. Visitors can encounter dozens of bird species from across the globe, including keas and tropical wetland birds. At Raptor Ridge, visitors can walk along an immersive pathway through the habitat and see majestic Andean condors up close.
Gorilla Grove
Immerse yourself in the western lowland gorillas’ habitat by observing the troop in the central viewing outpost, open seasonally outside the Tropical Forest Pavilion. Visitors can stand at eye level with the troop or look up to the skylights to see gorillas climbing above them!

A Little Disappointed
Julie H ·I’ve been here before and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time however, many of the animals were “off exhibit and/or receiving veterinary care” I realize it’s no longer summer, but the weather is not that cold yet where all these animals had to be removed. I recommend going in the summertime, when you’ll get the full “zoo experience”.
Family fall outing
Nichole ·Lots of animals came out later in day due to weather. But was a great zoo and very walking kid friendly
Zoo
Leslie ·Amazing zoo, we had an awesome time, we love the lights.
Zoo was good but could use some upgrade
Srinath ·Zoo was good but could use some upgrade. We loved the giraffe, camel, gorilla and kids zoo. I appreciate how they contribute to cons ervation efforts in Transylvania
Cute zoo
DLSa ·The zoo was cute and well maintained. Could use more signage. Several of the animals were removed from viewing for care or relocation. Due to it being late September, most of the extras were closed.
Franklin Park Zoo
Frank ·The park was very nice. All the attractions were well though out.
