Step back in time to ancient Egypt and learn all about mummies.
What you'll do
One for the history lovers – the Museum of Ancient Egyptian Culture boasts a wide range of cultural artifacts.
This museum explores the life and customs of ancient Egyptian civilizations and you’ll get a front-row seat. Your knowledgeable tour guide will entertain you with facts, while you browse over 1000 items.
See everything from jewelry and statues to earthenware and cosmetics as you tour the three main exhibition areas and a range of permanent and temporary exhibits. You’ll even get to see decorated coffins, sarcophaguses, and funeral artifacts if your interests are more macabre.
This museum is considered to be one of the most comprehensive in Europe. It was established by the Clos Archaeological Foundation, a private not-for-profit entity founded by Jordi Clos Llombart in 1992. Their mission is to “promote and disseminate art in general and archaeology, in particular, Ancient Egypt”.
