Sant Pau is one of Europe’s largest Art Nouveau complexes and not to be missed when you’re visiting Barcelona.
There’s plenty to explore here – striking buildings, manicured gardens, and permanent exhibitions. Take a self-guided tour and learn about the sights as you pass them. You'll be provided with a handy map to help guide you around the stunning site.
This complex celebrates architect Lluís Domènech i Montaner's most important work and, on this tour, you’ll journey through the history of the urban development and explore this renovated complex of 12 buildings. Aside from the architecture, there’s everything from underground tunnels, mosaics, and exhibitions to keep you busy for hours.

Sant Salvador Pavilion
This exhibition space takes you on a journey through Barcelona's medical and healthcare history, from the first unified hospital in 1401 to La Santa Creu in the 21st century. Explore display cases of medical artifacts and learn more about Recinte Modernista Sant Pau's heritage collection.
Sant Rafael Pavilion
Step back in time and see a recreated hospital ward from the 1920s. You’ll learn how the hospital was run in its early days, as well as get an insight into Barcelona of the past.

Sant Pau is a UNESCO World Heritage site.
Domènech i Montaner wanted to create an environment that would cheer up patients when he designed and built the Modernista Hospital de la Santa Creu i de Sant Pau.
The original site of the hospital complex dates back to the early 15th century.
