Whether you want to lounge by the pool, feast on barbecue, watch fireworks erupt over the skyline or catch a show with star power, Vegas has celebrations to suit every vibe. Ready for your most memorable Independence Day yet? Let’s dive into the best places and experiences to make the 4th of July as sparkling as the Strip itself.

Our favorite ways to celebrate 4th of July in Las Vegas include:

Fireworks on the Strip

The High Roller Observation Wheel

Pool parties galore

The Mob Museum

Eiffel Tower Experience

Hop-On Hop-Off Big Bus Tour

Sweet Sin at The LINQ Promenade

Fly LINQ Zipline

Strip Highlights Night Flight Helicopter Tour

Barbecue feasts at Ellis Island Casino & Brewery

Fireworks on the Strip

The Vegas Strip truly knows how to put on a show, and 4th of July fireworks here feel like the grand finale to end all grand finales. Rooftop firework displays light up the city at multiple resorts—so you’re guaranteed plenty of "oohs" and "aahs" no matter where you post up along Las Vegas Boulevard. Resorts such as Caesars Palace, The STRAT, and the Plaza downtown typically launch coordinated fireworks that bloom over the skyline, casting the city in red, white and blue.

One of the best things about Vegas fireworks? You can catch a view almost everywhere—from luxury rooftops to pedestrian bridges and even pool decks. For a truly memorable night, we recommend finding an open-air rooftop bar or grabbing tickets to one of the many Strip hotel viewing parties. The energy is electric as crowds cheer, music booms, and the neon desert glows beneath the pyrotechnics. This is the kind of holiday memory that sticks with you long after you leave Las Vegas. Don’t forget your camera; you’ll want to capture those magical Vegas-style sparks!

The High Roller Observation Wheel

Want a sky-high view of those fireworks? Hop into one of the High Roller’s comfortable, air-conditioned pods for a sweeping 360-degree panorama of the city. Peaking at 550 feet above the Strip, this giant observation wheel isn’t just a fun ride—on the 4th of July, it becomes one of the best vantage points in town.

As dusk settles and the city lights flicker on, you’ll see the Strip’s energy shift into party mode. Times your ride right, and you'll catch multiple fireworks displays blooming in every direction. Plus, friendly High Roller staff often add a little extra holiday flair with themed music, lights, or fun American trivia. Got a group? Grab a drink before you hop in—each pod has plenty of space to celebrate with friends or family. You’ll float above the crowds, sip in style, and enjoy an unbeatable Independence Day panorama.

Pool Parties Galore

Vegas in July = pool party season. Many of the top hotels host all-out affairs for the 4th: think poolside DJs, giant floats, and champagne bottles popping alongside barbecue bites and frozen drinks. Head to stadium-sized pools at places like Daylight at Mandalay Bay, Wet Republic at MGM Grand, or Drai’s Beachclub for high-energy daytime celebrations.

If you want to keep things cool (literally), relax in a reserved cabana or float endlessly down a lazy river. The crowd is always up for party games with prizes, beach ball tosses, and live music. Most venues splash on extra fireworks, patriotic decor, and special events for all ages. Picture yourself sipping a frozen daiquiri with palm trees overhead and the Strip skyline just beyond the water. It’s summer holiday perfection, Vegas-style.

The Mob Museum

Las Vegas loves a little history with its glitz, and The Mob Museum delivers a truly one-of-a-kind adventure through the stories of law, order, and outlaws. On 4th of July, why not dive into an experience that celebrates America’s less-than-ordinary pursuit of liberty and justice? Housed in a former courthouse, the museum immerses you in interactive exhibits, bold stories, and hands-on activities that bring the city’s colorful past to life.

What makes The Mob Museum a perfect Independence Day stop? You’ll explore tales that show how the country built (and sometimes broke) its own rules—plus, there’s a Speakeasy Bar downstairs serving creatively crafted cocktails with historic twists. The playful, cinematic feel makes it engaging for everyone, and the award-winning exhibits are ideal for families or anyone wanting a cool break from the summer heat.

Eiffel Tower Experience

You don’t need to book a flight to Paris for a French-inspired 4th of July—just ride the glass elevator to the top of the Eiffel Tower Experience right on the Strip. The viewing deck, perched 46 stories above Las Vegas, whisks you into the clouds with panoramic views of twinkling lights below and mountain silhouettes on the horizon.

It’s especially magical at sunset or after dark, when you get front-row seats for fireworks shows erupting across the city. The décor is whimsical and romantic, perfect for couples or just friends looking to toast America’s birthday in style. Guides offer fun facts as you ascend, and at the top, you can snap photos with the Strip laid out beneath you—and if you time it right, watch the Bellagio fountains dance along with the holiday celebrations.

Hop-On Hop-Off Big Bus Tour

When you want to soak up the festivities without fighting the holiday traffic, the Hop-On Hop-Off Big Bus Tour is your answer. The double-decker buses cruise up and down the Strip with open-air seating, perfect for citywide sightseeing or hopping off at party hotspots. Knowledgeable guides keep the ride lively with fun stories about Las Vegas legends, hidden gems, and even some 4th of July trivia.

On Independence Day, routes let you breeze from pool parties to shows, foodie neighborhoods, or the best fireworks vantage points without missing a beat. We especially love how easy it is to take a break, grab a bite, then hop straight back onto another bus. You’ll save energy for the big fireworks finale—and maybe discover a secret Vegas spot or two along the way.

Sweet Sin at The LINQ Promenade

Craving a sugar rush between celebrations? Pop into Sweet Sin Bakery & Cafe at the LINQ Promenade, where every counter overflows with colorful cakes, cheesecakes, pastries, and jewel-bright macarons. For the 4th of July they go all-out with themed desserts like red, white, and blue éclairs, berry tarts, and mini flag cupcakes.

The cafe’s vibe is quirky and fun, with a backdrop of neon art and cozy spots for people-watching on one of the Strip’s trendiest walkways. Order a classic cheesecake or try a special-occasion “firecracker” cupcake, then wander outside to snap photos with the nearby High Roller or under festive bunting. Sweet Sin is the perfect pit stop for a quick pick-me-up, a family treat, or something sweet to share as you countdown to fireworks time.

Fly LINQ Zipline

Looking to add a shot of adrenaline to your 4th of July? Soar 1,121 feet across the LINQ Promenade on Fly LINQ Zipline! This high-flying adventure launches you from a 12-story tower and sends you zipping above the crowds, the lights, and all the Strip’s energy below.

With your feet dangling and the city racing beneath you, you’ll get exhilarating views of festival-goers, neon lights, and the High Roller Ferris wheel all at once. The vibe at Fly LINQ is pure high-energy fun—staff get everyone pumped, music pulses from the speakers, and there’s always an audience cheering you on from below. Try it with a friend for matching superhero moments, then celebrate with a cold drink at one of the Promenade’s open-air bars.

Strip Highlights Night Flight Helicopter Tour

Ready to see Las Vegas sparkle like never before? Book a Strip Highlights Night Flight helicopter tour for the ultimate in star-spangled luxury. As you lift off at twilight, you’ll soar down the entire Strip, flying high above the neon lights, glitzy landmarks, and, on 4th of July, the bursts of fireworks painting the sky in every direction. From this vantage point, Vegas feels even more dazzling—if that’s possible!

What makes this flight so perfect for Independence Day? Every seat is a window seat, and you’re treated to stunning, uninterrupted views of pyrotechnic displays from resorts both on and off the Strip. Gliding over the city with the Bellagio Fountains dancing below and fireworks arching overhead turns a memorable night into a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The atmosphere on board is always buzzing—nervous laughter, clinks of complimentary champagne, and everyone vying for the best photo. It’s romantic for couples, thrilling for groups of friends, and a seriously cool way to mark the 4th. When it’s over, you’ll touch back down to earth already planning how to top next year’s celebration!

Barbecue Feasts at Ellis Island Casino & Brewery

No Independence Day is complete without delicious barbecue, and Las Vegas has plenty of options, but we’re big fans of Ellis Island Casino & Brewery for its casual, down-home vibe and unbeatable prices. Just a block off the Strip, this Vegas staple feels like a friendly local hangout, famous for its award-winning brews and mouthwatering Kansas City BBQ.

On the 4th of July, the air is thick with the aroma of slow-smoked ribs, brisket, and pulled pork. The place comes alive with families, locals, and hungry travelers, all digging into heaping platters of barbecue, char-grilled burgers, and generous sides of fries and slaw. Don’t skip their signature root beer or one of their house-made beers—the perfect way to toast America’s birthday.

So whether your perfect 4th of July means pool floats and sunshine, all-night dancing, big barbecues, or viewing fireworks from the clouds, Las Vegas delivers a wild, unforgettable Independence Day. Just remember: pack your best red, white, and blue, bring plenty of sunscreen, and get ready to celebrate—Vegas style!

Things to do in Las Vegas When It's Hot Outside

It’s built slap bang in the middle of one of the planet’s hottest deserts, so it should come as no surprise that Las Vegas can get uncomfortably warm from time to time. Indeed, it’s not uncommon to experience triple-digit days between June and September, when the mercury hits a sweltering 100°F on the regular and has even been known to top out at an earth-scorching 115°F.  So yeah, Sin City simply sizzles in summer. But fear not: there are plenty of ways to beat the heat in Las Vegas, from lazy rivers and frozen cocktails to ice rooms and air-conditioned mega malls. Here’s our guide to the best things to do in Las Vegas when it’s hot outside. Ice Ice Baby So you’ve donned your Saturn-sized sun hat, slathered on the sunscreen and kept well hydrated with chilled water, but you’re still overheating like a faulty gasket. Good news: Las Vegas caters for precisely this issue and you never have to walk far before stumbling upon some fine purveyor of frozen drinks, extravagant ice creams, boozy popsicles or other thirst-slaking concoctions. Hit up Sticks and Shakes on the Strip for a quite dizzying selection of gelato and milkshakes (literally hundreds of flavor combos available), or head to the colorful Best Friend bar at Park MGM for some of the best spiked slushies in town. The signature CrazyShakes at Black Tap in the Venetian – spectacular frozen confections topped with candy, cookies and whole slabs of cake – are pure Las Vegas. Dive in! Pool the Other One Huge aquatic playgrounds abound in Sin City, where man made beaches, staggeringly large swimming pools, VIP cabanas, poolside cabanas and servers that could be models are de rigueur. And let’s face it, floating down a lazy river, pina colada in hand, is probably just about all you’re good for in this heat anyway, right? The Bellagio, Mandalay Bay, the MGM Grand… take your pick. The modestly monikered Garden of the Gods at Caesars comes complete with epic Romanesque columns, statues and fountains, as well as a whopping SEVEN pools. Meanwhile over at the Golden Nugget, you can ride a water slide right through the middle of a 200,000-gallon shark tank. Only in Vegas.  Get Wet and Wild More water-based activities await at Cowabunga Canyon Waterpark, a bumper 40-acre attraction that presents dozens of inventive ways to cool off in the hot Las Vegas sun. We’re talking high-octane water slides with names like the Ricochet Racer and Boomer Wrangler, the massive Cadillac Shores wave pool, the Piñata Falls play area (complete with refreshing 1,100-liter tipping bucket), and the thousand-foot-long Cactus Creek lazy river. A fine way to keep the kids entertained (and cool) all at the same time. Get Outta Town! Temperatures on majestic Mount Charleston in Clark County tend to be around 20-30 degrees lower than in the city during summer, making this fine natural wonder a great choice for escaping the Las Vegas heat. The scenic drive northwest out of Sin City is worth the journey in itself, as the otherworldly landscape transforms from the rust reds and arid heat of the desert floor to a cooler alpine environment. This lush wilderness, all pine forests, wildflower meadows and crashing waterfalls, offers a wide range of hiking opportunities, from canyons to high summits. Steel yourself for the 16-hour round-trip ramble to Charleston Peak, 11,916 feet up, where intrepid explorers are rewarded with life-affirming views of Death Valley, the Sierra Nevada, and Las Vegas itself.  Splash the Cash It goes without saying that Las Vegas is no slouch when it comes to indoor entertainment. Casinos, malls, bars, buses: every square inch of Sin City real estate is air-conditioned to within an inch of its life, the welcoming Arctic blast that greets you in every single doorway providing the most straightforward solution available to beating the desert heat. And, here in the world’s entertainment capital, it’s near-impossible to run out of fun ways to occupy yourself. Where, then, to begin? You could try your luck in any one of dozens of Vegas casinos: keep your cool at the Cosmopolitan’s craps tables, go for gold at the old-school Golden Nugget downtown, play hundreds of slots at the STRAT, and recreate your favorite scenes from The Hangover at Caesars Palace. Assuming you haven’t just bankrupted yourself at blackjack, you might also consider taking yourself off to one of the city’s mega malls. These great cavernous cathedrals to capitalism are lovely and cool inside, meaning the only thing at risk of going into meltdown is your credit card. Try window-shopping the Venetian’s upscale Grand Canal Shoppes, where a gondola ride on the replica of Venice’s Grand Canal may be just enough to distract you from that eye-wateringly expensive Dior choker you’ve been coveting. Cool Cultural Highlights Thankfully there are plenty of alternative indoor attractions that are far less likely to break the bank. Ride the (fully air-conditioned) Deuce bus for a cost-effective way of seeing some of the Strip’s highlights, including the Bellagio fountains, the Mirage volcano and the iconic ‘Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas’ sign. Or drop by one or two of Sin City’s rather awesome museums: the Pinball Hall of Fame contains more than 150 fully operational old-school arcade classics, while The Mob Museum charts the history of organized crime in the USA and – bonus alert! – comes with its own with Prohibition-style subterranean speakeasy, serving real cocktails. Then there’s the cooling effects of the lush vegetation in the Bellagio’s eye-popping Conservatory & Botanical Gardens. Or the fantastical, futuristic worlds to be found inside Area15 and the epic Las Vegas Sphere, both, of course, air-conned up to the hilt. Chill Out! Still too hot? You need to get yourself over to the opulent Qua Baths & Spa at Caesars Palace. Inside the Arctic Ice Room, the mercury drops to a teeth-chattering 55°F – not quite cold enough for snow in the real world, but this is the surreal world of Las Vegas, baby, so snow you shall have nevertheless. There’s also ice to rub on your skin should you feel inclined to do so. Believe us when we say it won’t be long before you’re begging for some of that circulation-reviving 100-degree outdoor heat! Adult sippers should try the signature Bloody Mary or a Mimosa—both are perfect for toasting to a laid-back Vegas morning. Mon Ami Gabi’s attention to detail goes beyond food; the service is always top-notch, and the ambiance strikes just the right balance between elegance and fun. Whether you opt for a patio table with front-row views of the Bellagio fountains or the inviting, plant-filled interior, brunch here sets you up for an indulgent, delicious Easter.
