Santa Monica Pier Aquarium highlights
The Heal the Bay Aquarium features impressive touch tanks that provide an opportunity to get up close to and interact with small sea animals such as starfish, sea urchins, and more while popular shark-themed Sundays always draw a crowd to watch a feeding demonstration and educational presentation at the open-top shark exhibit.
Visitors will learn and appreciate how keeping California ecosystems healthy is important for its economic well-being, while exhibit highlights illustrate the preservation efforts that Santa Monica Pier Aquarium makes, and what the general population can do to help, such as donating to partner organizations such as the aquarium’s own Heal the Bay.
