Named for Alexander Hamilton, one of America’s founding fathers, go on a tour of this Northern Manhattan neighborhood. Tuesdays & Thursdays at 10:00 am.
Sugar Hill North & Lower Washington Heights Tour
Visit the storied Hamilton Heights/Sugar Hill plateau where you’ll see historic 18th and 19th-century estates of famous NYC figures, including Alexander Hamilton and Madame Eliza Jumel. Learn how Sugar Hill got its name from the many professional African-Americans who lived there in the 20s and 30s. Fridays at 10:00 am.
Central Harlem Historic Tour Home of the world-renowned Apollo Theater
Learn all about how Central Harlem contributed to the proliferation of Jazz and Swing, and how it’s still today one of the most vibrant places for the arts, dining, and shopping. Saturdays at 10:00 am.
Destination Uptown – Swing Dance (Stroll and Dance Class)
Bring your dancing shoes - this tour includes a Swing Dance Class after a walking tour of Harlem. You’ll learn all about how Harlem was a stomping ground for big names in swing, like Lindy Hopper, Frankie Manning, and many others. Mondays at 6:00 pm.
