What visitors are saying
4.5Awesome view and friendly staff made this a fun family visit
Dec 14, 2025The parts I did see were incredible, and we did pay extra on the day for the Sky lift which meant we got to see the view without the crowds, you only get a small time up there, but as we got it for $15 each it wasnt’t so bad !
Feb 17, 2026This for us was likley the most impressive of views, but again plan for long queue times, so we went early and got some amazing views
Jan 12, 2026At night is magical, would recommend at that time for many reasons: low lines, not too many people and beautiful scenery
Dec 31, 2025Great experience, you start with a short film explaining the history of the Rockafella Centre, then go up in the lift to three difference observatories on different levels, a small shop and a restaurant.
Jan 13, 2026Booked a 8.30pm slot, didnt’t get in till 8.50, Top pr otbhe rock great views at night, Beam closed at 10pm without no prior warning so we were very disappointed to have missed out on that
Feb 22, 2026Such a special experience as the sun was setting on Manhattan - very accessible too.
Oct 13, 2025This is also where things get backed up when New Yorkers are doing the most EFFICIENT set ups to make THOUSANDS experience things in a single day.
Feb 23, 2026It was very warm (even in winter) and people were becoming agitated at the lack of communication and waiting around.

What you'll do
Manhattan is all about skylines and Top of the Rock is up there with the best.
You’ll hop in a glass elevator and whizz 70 floors up to the Top of the Rock Observatory. Comprising both indoor and outdoor spaces, this 55,000 square-foot area is made up of three observation decks that give you unobstructed, 360-degree views of the city, including Central Park, the Hudson River and even Connecticut on a clear day. Best of all, the Art Deco building offers something the Empire State Building never will – a view of the Empire State Building.
You can explore the exhibits and see the short films covering Rockefeller Center’s historic 10-year construction during the Great Depression in the 1930s. Then ascend to the top in less than a minute with a ride up 850 feet (260 m) on the Sky Shuttle. You’ll spot classics of New York’s famous skyline, including the Empire State Building, the Chrysler Building, the George Washington & Brooklyn Bridges, One World Trade Center and the Statue of Liberty.
Your pass also includes entry to a multimedia exhibition so you can learn all about the building and the man behind it – John D. Rockefeller.
Visit during the day for amazing panoramic views or at night to see the electric city all lit up.
Facts
If you’re visiting during the holiday season you’ll be able to see the famous Christmas tree. It ranges in size from 18 to 30 meters and is covered with over 50,000 LED lights. The Swarovski-crystal star that tops the tree first appeared in 2004 and is nearly three meters in diameter.
There are over 200 flagpoles that line the plaza at street level. They display flags of United Nations member countries, the US states and territories, or decorative and seasonal motifs. During national and state holidays, every pole carries the flag of the United States.
Rockefeller Center was declared a National Historic Landmark in 1987.
