At this must-see Hawaiian attraction, you can stroll through an authentic complex of recreated villages, enjoy hands-on activities and demonstrations, and learn about traditional dresses, cuisines, and customs.
Immerse yourself in the culture of the 1,000+ islands that make up Polynesia. At the Polynesian Cultural Center, you’ll be surrounded by the sights and smells of the Pacific as you watch islanders reenact war dances, wield fire knives, cook traditional food, and more.
Enjoy the regional culinary delights of Polynesian culture as you sample Tahitian coconut bread or 'poi,' the staple Hawaiian food made out of taro. You’ll also explore some of the traditions of the different islands like lei-making, or have a go at playing derua and making Fijian music.
Don’t miss the Rainbows of Paradise canoe pageant, Hawaii’s only water-borne show. You'll learn about Polynesian voyaging and see a fully functional 57-foot double-hulled canoe in the Hawaiian Village’s exhibit, Iosepa: Voyage of Discovery.

Island of Hawaii

Island of Aotearoa
Explore the culture of the Maori of New Zealand. Feel the power of the Haka, watch artisans carve traditional weapons, and learn about facial tattoos.
Island of Tahiti
At the island of romance you’ll see a traditional wedding ceremony, try coconut bread, and learn about underwater Tahitian pearl farms.
Island of Fiji
Here you’ll learn about Fijian warriors, see a six-story temple, and learn how to make coconut oil.
Island of Samoa
Step into this village and you’ll discover how to crack open a coconut, twirl a fire knife, and how Samoan’s create their own natural air conditioning.
Island of Tonga
This island is all about fun. You’ll learn how to dance sitting down, play Iafo the Tongan shuffleboard game, and test your skills throwing spears.
