As San Antonio's only major league sports team, the San Antonio Spurs are the city's sporting heroes - and it won't take long for you to realize just how loved they are at one of their hometown games.

In the summer of 1973, a group of local investors leased the Dallas Chaparrals and relocated the team to San Antonio. Midway through their first season in the Alamo City, the group purchased the team outright and the Spurs have been a mainstay in San Antonio culture ever since! The Silver and Black played their first three seasons in the ABA before joining the NBA in 1976.

Over the last 50 years, the Silver and Black have enjoyed tremendous amounts of success. Since joining the NBA, the Spurs have won more games than any other franchise and have captured five NBA Championships.

This year's team includes 15 players from last season and features six of San Antonio's first-round draft picks from the last five years. Keldon Johnson returns for his fifth season with the team after leading them in scoring last year, averaging 22.0 points per game. Entering his fourth season with the Spurs, Devin Vassell is coming off a career year after averaging 18.5 points. Plus, 2023’s No. 1 overall draft pick Victor Wembanyama will make his NBA debut this season.

The Spurs are led by Hall of Fame head coach Gregg Popovich, who is entering his 28th season at the helm. The longest-tenured coach with the same team in all four major professional sports, Popovich is the NBA's all-time leader in regular season wins and 1,300-plus victories with the Spurs ranking first all-time in NBA history for most wins with one team.

: Getting in: show your pass at the Frost Bank Center Box Office at windows #11-16 on your chosen game day to receive your tickets (be sure to arrive no earlier than three hours prior to tip-off).

The box office is located on the corner of Houston St. and 1 Frost Bank Center Drive, near the SE VIP Entrance and remains open through the end of halftime.

Your pass is valid for select games and seat location is subject to availability (H-E-B Fan Zone or Standing room sections).
