What you'll do
You'll journey through the history of flight and explore beautifully-restored aircraft and hands-on exhibits. There's a model of the Montgolfier brothers’ hot air balloon of 1783, a Spitfire Mk XVI and a 4D theatre where you can take to the skies.
Learn all about the history of aviation, space flight, and get a sense of the danger and excitement involved in air combat.

Apollo 9
See an actual Apollo command module – one of only 13 on display in the world -- which helped NASA take one step closer to landing men on the Moon in 1969.
3D/4D Zable Theater
Enjoy immersive films and feel like you're soaring through the air in the only theater of its kind in Balboa Park.
Spirit of St. Louis
Stand next to a remarkable flight-worthy replica of the famous plane Charles Lindbergh flew solo across the Atlantic in 1927.
