Lake Mälaren cruise to Sigtuna (full day trip)
Thought to be one of the first settlements in Sweden, Sigtuna is a beautiful historic town and an absolute must-see!
What you'll do
Sigtuna was the heart of the Swedish Empire and the first settlement of Sweden, so this historic town has a lot to offer. Enjoy a majestic tour of Lake Mälaren and learn about the royal waterways before exploring the town on foot with the help of a tour guide to get a feel for Sigtuna and its fascinating past.
Sigtuna was founded in 980 and the rune stones, churches and ruins show a transition between the Viking and medieval ages. With its wooden houses from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries,
Sigtuna is filled with history and is well worth a visit. You can visit Lundströmska Gården dating back to the 1600s, explore the small churches, interpret the runes or visit the Viking village. For summer strollers there are plenty of cafes, galleries and shopping in Sigtuna.
On the journey on the relaxing calm waters through Lake Mälaren to Sigtuna, there will be a tour guide who tells you about what you see along the way.
