The Royal Garrafon Natural Reef Park day trip is an amazing way to get acquainted with Isla Mujeres.

Just 30 minutes off the coast of Cancun, this area is home to colorful reefs, picturesque ocean landscapes, Mayan temples, and more. 

Your exciting day trip begins with a ferry ride from Playa Langosta. You’ll enjoy breakfast pastries and coffee on board with your fellow travelers and soak up stunning views of the ocean during the ride. 

Once you get to the facilities, you can hop on a kayak and paddle around the crystal-clear waters or gear up your snorkel equipment to explore the watery wonderland beneath. The Great Mayan Reef is one of the largest reefs in the world, second only to the Great Barrier Reef. 

On Isla Mujeres, pass holders enjoy access to the Beach Club, where you can take a dip in the pool and relax or sweat it out in the Pre-Hispanic Steam Bath. For those looking for extra adventure, you can also go zip-lining. 

You’ll enjoy a buffet lunch at the Beach Club before exploring the island with a guided tour of downtown. Or if you fancy a bit more nature, stroll the coast of Punta Sur and explore the sculpture garden, lighthouse, and Mayan Temple. Punta Sur is the first place on Mexican soil that's touched by the light every morning at sunrise.

The overall experience was very misguided a The staff members always gave all instructions in spanish. They should understand that there are people who come from around the world and they should atleast give instructions in english as well. When we got off the ferry, we had no idea where to go or where to start from. Additonally, we had activities lined up and there was no one to guide us. All announcements were only in spanish and also upon request they would just sum up every thing in one line for english speaking people. If the country runs on tourism, then the staff and people should respect tourists as well. If anyone does not know spanish, then do not waste money on this country. If i had option to give 0, i would surely do that

Nothing less than the whole day

No need a make any reservation in advance. There is not much Maya ruin. The snorkling was better during the Jungle safari in Cancun. The area of paddle boarding or snorkling is limited. The lunch and drinks at Garrafon park were not close to our all inclusive resort. Highly recommend to reserve a golf cart.
